One of the better commercial beers i’ve had. Amberbock still pales in comparison to the Bavarian beers. It’s almost as good as Negra Modelo.

I am drinking with good friend in back of netcafe while watch lady dance on screen in webchat and wave to her with beer in hand for good time and fun. Great color of amber remind me of girl at market with mysterious eyes of wanted passion like flower need water or child need milk for life and love. Fizz on tongue fell good like kiss from sexy lady in summer time. I try and remember the sweet bock of ambers for future drinking and dancing full boost in party grp setting.

12oz bottle. Light brown appearance, medium white head. Malty taste. Medium after taste. Carbonated too much but not very, but good initally.

This one is also not bad. Faint malt aroma on the head. Pours dark brown with a thin white head. Nice maltiness on the tongue with caramel notes flavorful without being cloying Finishes crisp and clean.

A clear amber/gold pour with an off-white head. It has a cereal grain aroma with some light caramel. The medium body has a slick texture and lively carbonation. The taste is mildly sweet with a malty finish.

Bottle. Pours brown with a white head that quickly dissipates. Aroma is malty and nutty. Flavor starts with a nice sweet maltiness that is quickly overtaken by fizz and then nothing. The body is thin and mouthfeel fizzy. Overall, an average beer. A-B trying to please everyone and probably no one with this one. Not as bold or full bodied as it could or should be.

Precept53 (146) - West Bloomfield, Michigan, USA - APR 21, 2011
Over rated and over priced. LFaint malt aroma, with a sickly sweet hints of grass. Dark appearance is the only redeming quality of this beverage. Taste is is of maint malt and water. Thin watery overly carbonated palate. Not impressed and would not buy again.

BlackIPA (201) - Rochester, New York, USA - APR 21, 2011
Draft at Marina Jack’s in Sarasota, Fl. Amber color, no head retention. Not terrible for a industrial. Nice to drink seaside in Florida but would not buy in a store.
