BigBeer45 (675), Troy, Michigan, USA May 4, 2007 Draft, pours a light dark brown with lots of red that you could almost see through, some bubbles, some roasted malt aroma, has a dry faint sour aroma, some roasted malt and caramel taste, I couldn’t detect any hops, the beer was very easy drinking. RedXIII (127), Powell, Ohio, USA May 4, 2007 Decent color but just too carbonated and watered down to ever be considered a dark beer. It honestly tastes like a light beer, and the aroma and taste are mediocre at best. A simple beer for a good price, but you get what you pay for. torturer666 (29), Commerce, Michigan, USA May 3, 2007 Slightly overrated. This beer has a better aroma than it does flavor. Tadted the amber alright, and it tasted stale. No carbonation, syrupy. Still, more drinkabe than some. CaptainBadass (24), Shelby, Ohio, USA Apr 27, 2007 great aroma, good taste. until you drink it for a while. after a few of these you will be throwing in the towel because it shows its true gritty, sappy not-so-great taste and unfulfilling aftertaste with a big mean head. like a dragon puking into a bottle after it ate some live venison. inkycaps (15), , Texas, USA Apr 26, 2007 Budweiser with food coloring. Seriously, thats what it tastes like. ITS THE SAME THING! Way too much carbonation, no flavor...its just a gross beer. A joke. Actually, amber light or ultra whatever its called is a joke. joesvendsen (29), USA Apr 24, 2007 bottle. a good economic choice for anyone outside of the midwest, but if you need to drink a dark lager, go with Leinenkugel’s Creamy Dark. pinker1 (1), Kentucky, USA does not count Apr 23, 2007 For it’s price, Amber Bock is very tasty. For anyone on a budget, if you can’t afford better dark lager’s, it’s the way to go. There are a number of different imports, or even domestic specialties that are much better, but they’re all more expensive. tagz (334), USA Apr 23, 2007 just say no. the promise of dark lager may lure you in for a try but trust your instincts when you see that michelob label. has a nutty front end but the high carbonation quickly kills any flavor this beer has to offer. this is a light lager dressed up in fancy label with some brown die tossed in for good measure. if your going to drink highly carbonated beer just grab a canadian or yuengling. this brew leaves you nothing but regret.
