Pours a dark amber out of the bottle but if you get it on tap its alot darker although it doesnt have anymore flavor than the bottle. Its good for what it is but wont blow you away. ChugMan (24), USA

Overall not a bad beer for the price ($5.99) and one I could recommend when considering American brews. BigBen2120 (688), Derry, New Hampshire, USA

Clear copper-brown body with virtually no head and no retention or lacing. Slight scent of sweet malt. Tastes slightly roasty and sweet, but otherwise watery with a hint of dms, I think. Light watery mouthfeel. Fairly drinkable. Not particularly good. Not something I’d ever get again, if they still made this version.
12oz brown bottle (all-malt version). Clear copper-brown body with a half an inch of off-white head. Smells a bit on the weak side, but c aramel malt dominates. Tastes roasty and caramelly too, sweet. Medium in body. Very drinkable. Not sure I’d call with one a bock still, but aside from being slightly weak, I have no problem with this beer, and I can deffinitely see drinking this one again when I’m a little strapped for cash, or maybe even when I’m not. Good stuff. It’s my good old stand bye. Well balanced, after tones are slightly harsh, but well worth the beer. Gus (29), Chesapeake, Virginia, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 3, 2007 Appearance is light amber color(penny like), with a moderate to thin off white head that holds up while drinking. Very clear and is moderately carbonated, very bubbly. A light malt aroma is present. Some lacing on the sides of the glass. Taste is a very mild hop taste with no bitterness or dryness in the aftertaste. Goes down very smooth and feels somewhat moderate to light in the mouthfeel. An average beer that could be consumed, especially on hot summer nights. mrdeath5493 (108), Arkansas, USA

Pretty mild malt/caramel aroma and flavor, very smooth drink. I do recall thinking that the bottle was kind of sexy when the outside fogged over. Well worth 10 bucks for a 12 pack.
