| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Jan 1, 2007 Pours clear red-brown with orange highlights and a small white head that dissipates rapidly.
Aromas are not bad, consisting of nutty malts, vanilla, caramel, and a hint of cherry.
The beer is supposed to be medium bodied, but is actually quite thin on the palate with fat-bubbled carbonation. The flavor is mainly sweet malt with a touch of acidity, probably from carbonation. The beer is smooth with a clean finish.
As with other A-B products, this one gets worse as it warms. jodyperkins (70), Mississippi, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 30, 2006 A pretty good, inexpensive "dark" beer - well, it’s considered dark to most people who drink Bud Light, which isn’t much more than beer flavored water. It’s a good choice when you don’t have many options. evilcougar (6), Evansville, Indiana, USA does not count | 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 28, 2006 Best on tap... but also good in a bottle. One of my favorite non-expensive beers. I always have it available on tap. With a dark amber color and a clean finish... almost anyone can enjoy this A-B beer. Soonah (910), Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA
| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Dec 23, 2006 Another visit to a relative’s house, another crappy beer. While visiting my sister-in-law’s place I found only Amber Bock in the fridge. Meh. Aroma was virtually nonexistent but could be described as bitter. Pours caramely brown with a white head. Flavor is of cane sugar and a bit of hops. Thin and overly carbonated as most products like this are. Ace81287 (10), England

Watery, weak, good color, but tasteless really. My tastebuds are permatley tainted with hops after drinking Furious, so this seems so so so weak now. Still drink it at bars though if nothing but crap macro are available HopBackDoc (393), Hatboro, Pennsylvania, USA

Better than anything else that was served (Bud, Bud Light, etc.). Dark in color, as seen through a plastic cup. Malty and sweet, carbonated. Got worse as it got warm. ’Nuff said.
