| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Jun 19, 2009 Medium brown pour with no head. COrny in the aroma with some sugars. VERY light caramel flavor with a very light body. Not much else going on. Better than the ultra. CanIHave4Beers (862), Des Moines, Iowa, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jun 18, 2009 13th percentile? I’m guessing this is just mildly under rated, I expected to see it in the 20’s somewhere. Eh, what the crap do I know. Lets see if it’s worth a damn. Pours a darkish almost rust color with a small tight head. Aroma is mild, kind of roasty, a little chlorine some floral notes and a little sweet malt, it actually smells ok... the aroma could pass as a halfway decent beer. Flavor is a bit odd, a friend in college always said it tasted like mustard, I’ve never been able to shake that with this one. Flavors beyond old suggestive mental constructs are a little sweet malt, almost a bit of a tart flavor, some mild chemical flavors that don’t distract from the few mild and muted yet pleasant flavors in this beer, there is a mild hop bitterness but strong enough to be nice. Everything just seems so smooth and mild that it is lacking any real dominant flavors, which doesn’t speak terribly well for any beer. Boring but certainly quaffable in a pinch.
Palate is a bit watery. Maybe the 13th percentile is where this belongs, I guess I never really analyze this one when I’m drinking it.

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jun 15, 2009 Not really as good as Michelob, as it lacks bite, but certainly a fine beer. A good companion to cheese, crackers, soups, and shrimp. Good stuff.

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 15, 2009 Not long ago this could often be found for less than $4.00 a 6 pack, now just under $6 is the going rate. For the price I’d rather spend another 25 cents a bottle and move up to Sierra Nevada Pale Ale, or Alaskan Amber.
That being said it is a very good basic beer. It is smooth and the flavors are very mild. I once tried it side by with Boont Amber just to see how bad it would taste next to it. Of course it wasn’t as good as Boont Amber, but it didn’t taste bad either. mansquito (821), Boston/Philadelphia, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Jun 15, 2009 So I got this beer because we got a very large quantity of it at a bar... it was either this of bud or bud light so yeah... Pours quickly dissipating beige head and an amber brown body. Mediocre aroma. Taste is there. It has got some malts. A tiny bit of hops. Also a little sweet. Could be a lot worse. | 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Jun 15, 2009 Decent beer if it’s on tap and there isn’t much else to choose from. Better than most domestic macros. Looks good on the pour, but disappoints in the palate with a watery taste. BDawg82 (33), Jackson, Mississippi, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Jun 11, 2009 Middle of the road. Definitely lacks flavor for what it is, but that is not always a bad thing-a little too sweet, but not overwhelmingly so, a little hoppy, decent carbonation. Shouldn’t offend anyone at the table. This beer has always seemed to pour darker than expected. The aroma is tolerable, though it would give the impression the beer is sweeter than it actually is. Good affordable alternative to an import (that is, if you are the one buying the pitchers for the table). Ja29ck (25), Salisbury, Maryland, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Jun 5, 2009 Its pretty good for an michelob product but overall it can not contend with a good dogfish head (120 min).
