bigcat03 (191), Lincoln, Nebraska, USA Nov 13, 2006 Draught from Applebee’s poured into pilsner - Pours brownish red with a minimal white head; Not much to the nose...hops?; Malt on the initial taste; Honey, yeast and maybe caramel on the backtaste; Too much carbonation on a light body; Not horrible...but not that great. millstadtguy (50), Millstadt, Illinois, USA Nov 11, 2006 Pours the aber color witha thin head. Hints of caramel & chocolate malts. Better on draft then from the bottle. If drank straight from the bottle it gives off a burnt taste. Not my favorite beer anymore but this one did open my eyes to a world of different beers. RedEft (131), Wichita, Kansas, USA Nov 5, 2006 From a bottle into a frosty mug...pretty dark color with slight reddish highlights. Slightly off-white head, fizzy, and disappearing fast. Very slight, grassy aroma. Wow, what an incredible lack of taste for such a dark beer. It’s mystifying. There are some slight hints of malts, but c’mon...this is sorta ridiculous. Not an offensive beer really, I’d readily drink it over most macros, but definitely not what it’s billed to be. brew4fun (167), West Virginia, USA Nov 2, 2006 Draft. Pours brown, off-white short-lived head. Not much aroma or taste. OK if the only alternatives are BMC lagers, it is a step up. Not disagreeable, just nothing to write home about. Mrthirstyneck (341), Minnesota, USA Nov 1, 2006 great bud product overall a tasty mix if you are low on funds for the good stuff i pound these foten nice brew on average theisti (1638), Leawood, Kansas, USA Oct 31, 2006 Bottle. Leave it to a macro to call this beer a Dark beer. Pours reddish brown. The color is about the only feature of this beer that I would classify as "dark". Certainly not a bock. duffman462 (160), Gainesville, Florida, USA Oct 27, 2006 I would classify this beer as "generally inoffensive." Very little aroma, and the flavor is suprisingly weak for the beer’s somewhat dark color. Just about what I have come to expect from the good people at AB. TheBeerOrg (1563), Kentucky, USA Oct 26, 2006 Pours brownish amber with al ight tan head. Aroma is corny, with caramel malt and adjuncts. Taste is light caramel, bready with some lightly metallic falvors. Mouthfeel is thin bodied, watery with spritzy overcarbonation.
