Jul 19, 2006 Draught at Joe’s Place in Iowa City, IA. Clear dark reddish color with thin off white head. Smells of light brown sugar and subdued sprucy hops. You can also taste a bit of spruciness along with a distinct celery flavor that put me off a bit. Spicy and over-carbonated. Eh.

Jul 12, 2006 Bottle.Pours dark.Aromas of roasted barley and a hint of chocolate with a wisp of hops.Drinks smooth with very little bitterness.

Jul 10, 2006 Bottle: Had a bottle malty musty spice aroma. Daep amer body with decent head. Flavor had a hint of caramel crytalization to th e body. Mostly spice and grain flavor. Musty bar taste on palate.

Jul 8, 2006 On Tap @ Yesterday’s for $1 a piece before 11:30. Not really a "bock," and I guess tossing caramel into your lager is considered a dark lager, than this would make sense. Really just tasted like newcastle which I can’t stand either. Has a metalic ring to it.

Jul 4, 2006 Bottle. Well I’m not a fan of Michelob and I’m not of fan of this beer. Had it about 4 times on occasion and have never liked it. Too rich a taste that is not balanced out as well as it could be.

Jun 26, 2006 now... this one by far was my favorite one at sea world beer school and mastery brew school... this one tastes good with swiss cheese and dark chocolate... mmmm.... had a couple samples of this one a couple of times....
