TonyBanannas (36), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA Jun 17, 2006 Probably the best Anheuser-Busch produces. Dark Amber pour with a light head. Sweet Malt breaches the nose just before taste. Just an all around good drinkable beer. It went extremely well with my Ashton cigar. ebarnes (213), Indianapolis, Indiana, USA Jun 17, 2006 Draft
Not too bad. Kind of a deep amber with a medium head. Not a lot of aroma, but the taste is really smooth. wxman (582), O’Fallon, Illinois, USA Jun 14, 2006 Pours a nice clear medium dark with a semi-white head that doesn’t last, ala all AB products. Aroma is faint roasted malts and hop spiciness. Taste is well balanced but unassertive, mostly caramel malt and some maple syrup tones, along with slight hop bitterness. Normally this would not be considered a great rating, but compared to the rest of their stuff this is top drawer AB. uglyblond1 (173), Nebraska, USA Jun 13, 2006 A nice dark amber, it has a sweet malt aroma, a sweet malt taste, but is pretty smooth. Not a really great beer but drinkable with a meal. It finishes with a smooth if weak palate for the type. JJClark (545), Roscoe, Illinois, USA Jun 11, 2006 Updated: Dec 6, 2006Bottle. Pours a light brown color with a very thin off white head. The taste isn’t in typical Michelob style as it is a little more flavorful. Slight hint of roasted hops with a bit of caramel thrown in to take off any edge. Overall a pretty good mass produced beer. Nejhleader (924), Lemoyne, Pennsylvania, USA Jun 10, 2006 is a brownish colour. bit of a caramel flavour, decent body. nothing special, worth a try if there is nothing else around. maniac (2628), Richmond, Virginia, USA Jun 10, 2006 Updated: Nov 9, 2007Clear dark amber color with a thin white head. Sweet caramel aroma with light graininess. Flavor of light caramel, and a grain. Lingering grainy aftertaste. eaglefan538 (2351), Wilmington, Delaware, USA Jun 2, 2006 Updated: Mar 16, 2007Pours a light brown color and has more flavor than the usual macro. First couple of sips when cold are chocolate and nutty, yet once it warms up all the typical flaws of a cheap swill AB product start to come through: astringency, acidity, adjuncts, and all sorts of aftertastes. Drinkable, but not something to seek or quaf. Mouthfeel is moderate, slightly lighter than moderate.
