Pours out a amber topped with a off white head. Aroma and tast of malt. WOW another failed brew from Busch. Way to go. theisti (1699), Leawood, Kansas, USA

The color is about the only feature of this beer that I would classify as "dark". Certainly not a bock. hayduke (1692), Eureka, California, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 17, 2006 Every once in a while you need to take a chance on a macro to see if they have made any imrovements. From a bottle, this was actually better than I expected. Dark, with some nose of roasted malts, and an actual head. Little lacing however. Mouthfeel is clean and crisp, and flavor is a little sweet, but not too bad. Finish average. This might be the best things AB brews, at least of those I have dared. GG (1689), NorCal, California, USA
| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Jan 31, 2006 While this is an above average macro, that really doesn’t say much. Hell, you’d think bowling with your friends at work would make this taste better but unfortunately...no. A nutty taste that was rather sweet which wasn’t all that bad. Definitely NOT a bock, but more akin to a dark lager. If given a pitcher of this somewhere with nothing else to choose from, you could do a lot worse. Butters (1689), Virginia, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 11/20 | Jun 24, 2008 This genuinely is not a bad beer. Pours a dark golden copper with red highlights and fair tan head. Not much aroma at all. Smells corny and a bit grainy, but not offensive. Tasted of toasted malt and a bit nutty. Medium bodied with a sweet finish. I would certainly drink this again. douglas88 (1686), Salt Lake City, Utah, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Nov 1, 2008 Pours a reddish brown color with a medium white head. The aroma is malty and fairly sweet. The taste is mostly some caramel malts, light toasted flavors, smooth and easy going. A clean flavor that suits drinking more than a couple. Not a bad beer in any way. Inoffensive. | 1.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 4/20 | Feb 3, 2006 bottle. bock, huh? sure. This is a pretty nice shade of red, though I can see right through it. The head disappears just as soon as it forms. I’m picking up quite a bit of corn in the aroma. Weird that a BMC product would smell like that. There’s some far-off flat hops in the aroma as well. There’s less corn in the flavor, at least. It’s predominantly a biting acidity like salty seltzer water then a bit of thin malt which doesn’t do enough to cover it. This "rich, roasted taste" is more like charred microwave popcorn. hm. I’ve certainly had better beers in my day. jason (1627), Easton, Pennsylvania, USA
