Not nearly as much taste or complexity as other examples but it is produced by AB so what do you expect. gws57 (1151), Saint Charles, Illinois, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 15, 2003 Bottled. Somewhat dissapointed with this one. Dark, nearly brown. Nutty nose, moderate head which dissipated rapidly. Not too much flavor going on here. alexsdad06 (1138), Ohio, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jul 30, 2007 12 oz. bottle. Pours a clear deep amber color with a medium off white head that is mostly lasting. The aroma is light caramel malt and some general hoppiness. The flavor is very much the same. This is a much better alternative than most offerings from large companies. Easy to drink. bitter (1137), Henderson, Nevada, USA

| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | May 17, 2009 Pours a dark clear caramel brown with a small beige head that collapses leaving a bit of sheeting lace. The nose was initially a bit of wet dog that clears away to a metallic, roasted caramel malt. Light-bodied and aqueous with a finely spritzy mouthfeel and a mildly astringent/plastic finish. The flavor is fairly benign: it’s not offensive but it’s not particularly tasty either. It’s like a slightly refined caramel malt seltzer water. While it’s better than many AB offerings, unless you are in a craft beer wasteland, it’s really nothing special. Pwn3d (1134), Manhattan, New York, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jun 5, 2009 Pitcher @ Rudy’s courtesy of CUJO. Labeled as Rudys red. The bartender tried to take me for a fool by telling me this was homebrew from Saratoga Springs. I quickly pwn3d him betting it was Michelob Ultra Amber.. Impressed he confirmed this was actually Amber Bock. This brew poured on the darker side. Light carmal malts and maybe some chestnut? Had potential but too watery and lacking flavor 2.35 Kaya161 (1129), San Diego, California, USA
