just say no. the promise of dark lager may lure you in for a try but trust your instincts when you see that michelob label. has a nutty front end but the high carbonation quickly kills any flavor this beer has to offer. this is a light lager dressed up in fancy label with some brown die tossed in for good measure. if your going to drink highly carbonated beer just grab a canadian or yuengling. this brew leaves you nothing but regret.

clear, dark amber color, slight off-white head, some lacing. nose is mostly air, hint of grain. not much in the flavor department...only a hint of some kind of sweetness. musch to mild. watery mouth-feel, sweet water finish. a waste of time. not offensive, but hardly there is the first place.

I happen to like this beer. It does have a relatively light body, but that’s one of the things I like about it. It fills a niche...a highly drinkable yet flavorable dark beer. It’s a dark beer that allows you to drink several without feeling full. For the light body, it has a good amount of roasted malt taste. A nice mahogany color and pleasant aftertaste. This is certainly not even in the same class as most of the micro dark lagers, but Micholob did a good job with this.

12 oz bottle that pours a clear brownish amber color. Thin fizzy head that did not stick around or leave any lacing. Very little on the nose, maybe some sweet maltyness. Flavor is some roasted and caramel malts with some balance of bitterness and a little cardboard in the finish. Light to med body, lively carb, watery texture and feel. Nothing good or bad about this beer, just plain.
