1.5 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 7/20 VA Homebrewer (525) - Portsmouth, USA - MAY 28, 2002
Slightly disappointing as I expected this to be at least a reasonable attempt at a good beer. Maybe a little more malt sweetness, but the rice is still very evident. Aside from the light malt increas and a darker color, this is no more impressive than regular ol’ Michelob.
2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 edgallow (174) - nashville, Tennessee, USA - FEB 6, 2012
UPDATED: FEB 10, 2012 I think the appearance is pretty much the best attribute of this beer. The smell is not much to write home about. The taste is just a basic beer, nothing to write home about.
2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 mzaar (352) - Varberg, SWEDEN - FEB 5, 2012
Egentligen en helt meningslös öl, som jag inte ser någon som helst anledning att dricka igen. Ingen alls.

Varför göra en mörkare öl om den nästan saknar all den karaktär som en mörk lager eller bock skall ha.

Most of a pitcher at a pizza joint. They had 4 beer options, and this was far and away the best option (I’ll let you guess the other three: hint, they all end in "light" or "lite"). I’d love it if someone would reclaim the Michelob name and make good beer under it. This is ok, certainly built for drinking mass quantities (which i did on this occasion), but it still lacks soul, quality, and character. Happy me for remembering I had it.

Tap - not much head, very dark amber color, VERY sweet malty flavor - way too sweet
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 nearbeer (2572) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - DEC 11, 2011
12 oz. Chestnut with red tints and a lasting disc of creamy foam. Nose of spicy dry grass, cola, and roasted walnut. Flavor is dark fruit, tart apple, spicy caramel, toasted nut and earthy spice. Near-medium body is well-balanced, slightly watery and pretty drinkable.
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 Bendrixian (357) - Halifax, Nova Scotia, CANADA - DEC 2, 2011
pours amber colour but clear. aromas are reduced but offer a hint of lagernesss and someting more sweet. light flavour due to overfiltration but overall not as bad as I thought it would be.
2.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20 matthewjk (493) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - NOV 13, 2011
Tried this many times over the years, but just getting around to rating - Pours a very nice deep amber / russet color--one of the best qualities of this beer. Aroma is not offensive, but hardly detectable as well. Quite a nice glass of drinkable malts, but thin as hell too. It’s not bad for mass produced stuff. Actually, one of my highest-rated widely distributed big name beers.
