I’ve had this beer out of a bottle and on tap...it ranks up there with one of the best on tap beers i have ever sampled...i ordered an entire pitcher to myself and enjoyed every drop. The bottle is great too if served very cold. Props to Michelob for this creation...hell, i can even get my mom to drink this one..and that is saying a lot...
1.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20 Sammys (428) - Portland, Maine, USA - AUG 11, 2001
Very light bodied and light flavored for something labeled as a ’bock.’ Not offensive, decent to drink with light fare, but not a bock. I share my sentiments with the majority of others who have rated this beer.

Very light for the color good summer beer. make you look like you drink something good as long as you dont let them see the bottle
2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 fishman (350) - Philadelphia, USA - JUL 22, 2001
Very light head, almost no aroma. Slightly watery, but still somehow quite dark. Pretty bland without much character, and very gasy (belchfest!). Not offensive at all though, which surprises me considering the brewer.

Not really a bock, more like a watered down amber. Deep brown color with little head, I was pleased to find this wasn’t offensive in any way, just bland.

Good for A-B be damned, its still a thin, tasteless mess.

I don’t know if I would go so far as to call it a bock, but it is the best A-B product I have tried so far.
