Bock? Are you sure? There’s nothing ’bock’ about this pseudo craft beer from a giant automated beer factory. Oh it looks good. Great packaging and it even looks pretty good in the glass except that it can’t hold a decent head. But the excitement ends with the packaging. There’s just nothing there for a beer that claims to be a bock beer. Sorry, more like golden lager with food coloring. All show, no go...no thanks!

Easy drinking, better than regular Michelob, which isn’t saying much. I got it once as a gift from an in-law; would never buy it.

I think the ’malt’ flavor that some are getting is actually corn. Cheap, and perhaps decent for the price, but I’d be tempted to spend more, in that case.

UPDATED: MAY 12, 2003 Nice try A-B, but you guys just can't do anything other yellow fizzy swill, this beer is very watered-down, very thin, no body at all, it's just a shame

For $5 a six pack, Amber Bock is a bargain. Solid, un-skunky flavor, nice bitterness and maltiness, no aftertaste, no beer-bloat. Good easy drinking beer.

Nice color, no aroma. Decent malt flavor. Suprisingly decent.

The flavor was average and it went down easy.

This was terrible as are most of the michelob products. It just plain tasted foul. I respect a.b.’s attempt at some of these normally microbrewed or import beers, but they need to try a little harder because the other amber bocks in the world put this to shame.
