boy...really not sure what to make of this. I figured Amber Bock meant some kind of dark, strong beer...Guiness-like. This one was a sheep in wolf’s clothing or at least in name. Mediocre at best.

While in Chicago I was fooled by the new design on ths label, it now says Michelob Amberbock ’Dark Lager’. It pours foamy head, not very dark, no detectable aroma. A mild and unambitious beer, not too anything except boring. I think this is what bock means in greek, boring. I’d swear this is Ziegenbock, bottled also by AB (Inbev) in Texas. We like exclusive names in Texas.

Bottle. Dark amber pour with off white head. Smells of a lot of malt. Taste of toasted malts with sweet finish. Best michelob I've had. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pleasantly surprised, as I was expecting this to suck. Pours medium brown with thin head, light malty aroma, taste is malt, caramel, slightly nutty. Mild bitterness and faint lingering flavor. Kudos to Bud for making something drinkable.

Hat fast keinen Geschmack. Erinnert mich eher an ein Malzbier. Habe sogar das darkbier probiert aber auch dort ist nicht viel rauszuholen

Small bottle at The Palace Bar & Grill in Sauk Centre, Minnesota. A nut brown color with a bit of off-white head. I’m getting some grain and vegetable notes here. That’s about it.

This review is nothing more than to boost my review number because this beer is not special. Up the Irons.

A nice amber pour with a low light tan head. A little sweet with a nice hops and caramel taste. Overall pretty good amber beer for Michelob.

Sweet, little malty, Carmel color, transparent. No nose. I used to like bock but now it too sweet.
