2.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 maniac (3474) - Baltimore, Maryland, USA - JUN 10, 2006
UPDATED: NOV 9, 2007 Clear dark amber color with a thin white head. Sweet caramel aroma with light graininess. Flavor of light caramel, and a grain. Lingering grainy aftertaste.
2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 eaglefan538 (2735) - Wilmington, Delaware, USA - JUN 2, 2006
UPDATED: MAR 16, 2007 Pours a light brown color and has more flavor than the usual macro. First couple of sips when cold are chocolate and nutty, yet once it warms up all the typical flaws of a cheap swill AB product start to come through: astringency, acidity, adjuncts, and all sorts of aftertastes. Drinkable, but not something to seek or quaf. Mouthfeel is moderate, slightly lighter than moderate.
2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 bourne (161) - Suwon, SOUTH KOREA - JUN 1, 2006
Dark amber with a tan head. Not as carbonated or "crisp" as most comercial beers. some decent malt character(caramel). Id go so far as to say its the best macro in the states, but its no prize winner.
3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Beerdedone (2211) - Croydon, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 31, 2006
Bottle. Pours dark amber with a decent off-white head. Aroma of roast, caramel malts, and grain. Flavor is sweet, caramel malts, weak, but drinkable. Nothing great, but not a bad brew.
3 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 LAboozehound (47) - Lafayette, Louisiana, USA - MAY 28, 2006
Good dark beer, tastes too sluggish after a few. Unfair bias due to the corporate title, but one of the better macro brewed American beers.
3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 BeerPig (3) - Springdale, Arkansas, USA - MAY 25, 2006 does not count
I tend to drink more dark beer in the winter and this beer always satisfies. It’s not the best beer in this category but you can do much worse.
2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 sausage86 (27) - USA - MAY 18, 2006
one of better michelob brews. pours dark. noticed roasted malt and some brown sugar. no smell, no bitter finish. tasted good for first 3/4 of the bottle. i like it.
1.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 aenimopiate (176) - The United States of Texas, Texas, USA - MAY 18, 2006
I’d say this one is in line with the same general flavor offered by every other michelob beer, which goes along the lines of non-offensive mass-produced macrobrew beer that is affordable and tolerable. Of course this one is thicker than the lighter alternatives. One of my picks for a cheapo daily drinker.
2.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 MonsterMash (58) - North Tonowanda, New York, USA - MAY 11, 2006
No smell, thin body but fine coloring. Thin to drink as well, but some malt and brown suger flavors are good. By the end of the glass though it drags.
