3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 crizay (1050) - Brook Park, Ohio, USA - NOV 29, 2004
UPDATED: OCT 29, 2006 This is not that bad of a beer, but it’s not getting any love for being A-B that’s for sure. Pours dark brown, big white head. Pretty sweet tasting lots of crystal malts in there, very little hops if any, just a nice caramel and roasted flavor. I think when I get this really fresh it seems to even have slight banana aftertaste to me. Not a bad beer at all.

20 oz. draft at Inn of the Mountain Gods in Mescalero, NM- transparent light brown with a slight amber hue, thin wafer tan head. Extremely light aroma of a roasted malt and maybe a drip of caramel. Hits the mouth with a thin body, malt disintegrates almost instantly with contact with my mouth, faint taste of a roasted malt in the middle, finish becomes water. The perfect compliment for the first time I saw collusion in the poker room between a player and a dealer...
2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20 DrSilverworm (1042) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - MAY 16, 2011
12oz bottle. Light brown appearance, medium white head. Malty taste. Medium after taste. Carbonated too much but not very, but good initally.

Despite what seems to be the trend here, I think this is a pretty decent beer. It looks great and dark in the glass with a decent had that had good lacing. The taste of dark malt with just a little bitterness would good, despite there being little nose to it. I don’t mind having this occasionally, and it was clearly the best draft beer at Wing Stop when the only alternatives were Coors Light, Miller Lite, Michelob Ultra, and Bud Light.

Decent malt profile, very sweet with a sour apple type lager finish. Drinkable, good for someone who has never had a flavorful beer, but not one I would revisit.

Drank 24 oz of this while watching a baseball game in 80 degree heat and 50% humidity. I tasted nothing at all until I had maybe four ounces left in the glass and the beer was room temp. Then I tasted a hint of chocolate malt, but it could have been in my head. The only good thing about this beer is that it might bring a macro drinker into the world of micro.

No no no, we said we like eisbock, not rice bock. There’s some malt here, but it’s too watery and finishes with that trademark A-B aftertaste. It also left me absolutely parched after drinking a few.

Bottled. To watery for a bock, but it's a Bud product so nothing special was expected.

WOW! What a pleasent suprise, had on top, which was unusual for me. When I saw only this and other BMC, I was thinking what most do when they see Michelob...
This BMC actually has something to it! A decent color, decent flavor, not too watered down. Very nice!

easily the most palateable beer put out by michelob. thinnish, hardly a bock, but still has a solid malt presence although it has some cheap hops taste in there too. overall, not a bad beer!
