A combination of a porter (dark ale) and lager, this brand was introduced in early 1998. Chocolate, caramel and pale malts produce a rich, roasted flavor with a slight coffee note and a light, clean finish.

I donít think i would consider this a black and tan in the least bit. Pours a watery dark but clear brown colour. no head, aroma is sweet mouthfeel is light and somewhat dry.

Not the porter but itís alright. Dark colored and had a fairly rich flavor and texture to it. Malty with perhaps some chocolate or toffee. Weak mouthfeel, not a ton of flavor either. It had much more flavor than your standard ole Michelob however. This isnít bad.

...not too bad, but a poor attempt by a huge brewery at a hard to duplicate mix beer. Watery, and not true to the style, not good.

Budweiser gets this one right because of the michelob base. Flavors are slightly watery, but malty and roasted with a hint of hops.

I was reviewing old family videoís recently when I saw that I had gotten a Mic variety pack for Christmas í01í with this beer in it. I remember not enjoying this particular beer because it did not taste like other black and tans I had tried.

From what I remember, this beer was not black or tan. And wasnít tasty at all. Obviously not a commercial success either and this not due to poor quality. See bud light.

They did everyone a favor by retiring this one. Not very tasty, just lacking the traditional porter taste. Bland.

Not terrible. OK. Itís kind of terrible. Tastes like the amber bock, so they must have just added food coloring.

Dark but translucent. Some chocolate and molasses. Almost tastes a black and tan, but not really.

I remember when I first started appreciating good beer. I thought that this was one of the best beers in the world. how times have changed. This really isnít bad for a Black and Tan in a bottle.
