Oh snap, dildo bottle share from JT. Red brown pour, aroma of Swedish berries, sweet malts and cardboard. Taste, cardboard sweetness, sugar and I don’t know Vicks cherry cough drops.

Sugar sweet and cough drop. Slightly toffee. Some alcohol burn. Ok overall.

Bottle sample during RBWG Friday night tasting. Pours a mostly clear amber color with a small off white head. The aroma and flavor have sweet malts, cookies, cherry that moves from maraschino cherries with the syrup to ludens cough drops. Either way, this is better than expected.

The cherry lager poured a lovely reddish brown color with a minimal white head that quickly fades. The aroma was strong, full of sweet cherry cordials and roasted malts. The aroma was this beers best attribute. The flavor is dominated by a fake syrupy cherry that covers up the malts and hops. The finish was long with some bitter notes at the end. The palate was medium to full with a sticky texture.

Tasted on 2/7/14 from a capped 750mL bottles at the Friday night tasting at RBWG Asheville, thanks to Aaron Nielsen for sharing this whale. Pours murky burnt orange with a thin beige head that leaves a very thin collar of lace. The nose is malty sweet with some maraschino cherry. The flavor is the same super malty with sweet cherry. The body is medium with light carbonation and a long sweet malty cherry finish.

Big weird lava lamp or butt plug shaped bottle at Max’s for his birthday, many thanks to jtclockwork for this one. Pours a murky ruby amber with a thin white head. Big sweet old cherry on the nose, oxidized. Medium bodied, old cherry, tastes a bit like cough drops. Sweet with a bit more old oxidization. Long old cherries on the finish. Not as bad as I was expecting. Disappointed in how disappointing it wasn’t.

Lava lamp/giant butt plug shaped bottle shared by one of the Nielsen bros. at RBWG, Friday night Dumptown Inn bottle share. Thanks, bro(s)! Pours a tea-amber color with a beige ring for a head. Notes of caramel, cardboard, brown sugar, tea, honey, toffee, and dried cherry. Light-bodied, with moderate carbonation and a sweet, dry, dusty mouthfeel. Oxidized, but not bad at all, actually.

>> Thankyou pussypete, jtclockwork, blomster for this mega wale procurement. Pours clear amber, spotty lacing. Nose is sticky cherry, brown sugar. Taste is tart, rich cherry, brown sugar. Much better than expected. Shockingly not bad at all.

Bottle shared by James. Light sweet malts, faint cherry sweetness, and some creeping oxidation. Not completely awful; actually way better than I expected.
