2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
24 fl oz bottle pour. Pours dark red with creamy off-white head. Head completely diminishes. It’s clear, but not sparkling. Looks flat. Aroma of malt and slight cherry. Flavor very sweet up front with tons of carbonation and acidity then a burst of tart in the middle and finishes slightly bitter. Flat and light mouthfeel.

1.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
Noogfest ’08. The body was medium copper colored. The aroma was cherry cough syrup and a little bit of caramel. The taste was more cherry cough syrup and pancakes. This is about the worst cherry themed beer I have tried.

1.9 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
A dark reddish appearance with a white head. The aroma is cherry flavored cough syrup. The flavor is like a true fruit lambic. Um NOT! A very medicine like flavor with cherry syrup and a hint of molasses. Bottom line this is like Robitussin not beer. Worse than SA Cherry Wheat. Avoid!!!!

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Appearance: Pours a clear, cherry-esque body with a thin, wispy, white head.
Smell: Sweetish cherries, though a touch medicinal, with a background of grainy, pale maltiness.
Taste: Sweet dark cherries, like either sparkling cherry juice or, perhaps, a cherry-flavored soda. Some faroff hints of candied caramel malts. No hop flavors or real bitterness present. Again, it’s a bit medicinal, primarily on the finish, like they added a few drops of Robitussin in for good measure.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation.
Drinkability: Fine, though it’d be a good bit better sans medicine. Nice bottle presention I must say, though not one you’d want to accidentally sit on.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Clear reddish amber body with a medium creamy off-white head. Sweet maraschino cherry and light caramel aroma. Fairly sweet maraschino cherry flavor, some graininess and a bit of caramel. Medium light body with moderate carbonation and a very sweet almost syrupy finish.

2.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 3/20
I bought this as part of a gift set, however the two glasses were the only highlights. The cherry lager poured a lovely reddish brown color with a minimal white head that quickly fades. The aroma was strong, full of sweet cherry cordials and roasted malts. The aroma was this beers best attribute. The flavor is dominated by a fake syrupy cherry that covers up the malts and hops. The finish was long with some bitter notes at the end. The palate was medium to full with a sticky texture. Overall I was looking forward to something much better. Well at least I got two nice glasses in the gift set.

2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Red color with a thin head. Aroma like a Ludens cherry cough drop. Slightly grainy/corny taste. Decent cherry flavor, but sickly sweet.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Thin white head of fine bubbles that recedes slowly. Soft bready malts with some light fruit and grains. Color is a nice orangeish red. Little bit sweet and malty. Light cherry flavor with some grainy straw and a bit of alcohol kick late swallow. The cherry flavor becomes more prominent as the brew warms. Finishes slick with a lingering light tartness. All in all a decent brew. Thanks Dan for sliding this my way.
