A deep amber brown. A smooth dark lager with little hop character, but no offensive aftertaste. Roast malt flavor. Smooth finish. Not as complex as most dark beers.

1.3 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 3/20 jason (1670) - Easton, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 31, 2006
Bottle. Michelob, michelob...UGH! Terrible. Too bitter and not well balanced. May be one of those that if I was in college and too blitz I would have drank.
2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20 JohnnyOS (646) - Golden, Wisconsin, USA - MAR 29, 2006
Part of my Michelob marathon. Pours Pours dark amber with slightly off-white head. Aroma of roasted malts and some caramel... pretty light overall. Flavor is thin with an uncomfortable bitter finish.
1.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 bobaidan (473) - Southington, Connecticut, USA - MAR 13, 2006
Aroma hints at some roasted malts, but is mostly neutral. This looks as if somebody dropped some caramel cola coloring in it--fizzy macro head--some soapy lace...Flavor does feature some malt, but little balancing hops here...tell-tale tang in the finish...Carbonation is excessive, and accentuates watery palate...Still, not a bad-tasting product, a reasonable alternative to most of the mainstream macro lagers out there
2.2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 harpo (13) - bainbridge, Georgia, USA - FEB 26, 2006
What can I say, it smells like a Mich., tastes like one too...overall drinkable, but the roasting leaves a bitterness that is not overcome at all by the rest of the flavor. Would take it over Mich light, but not by much. I think they could do a little better on this one. If faced with no stouts and only ameribeers..would get a killians or amber bock first.
2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 Tmoney99 (8769) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - FEB 7, 2006
Bottle. Poured a deep amber with an average white head that diminished quickly. Sweet roasted aroma. Light to medium body with a thin texture. Smooth malty flavor with a short finish. Drinkable for a macro.
3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 morrdt (668) - Dirty Mo’, North Carolina, USA - JAN 18, 2006
This was my favorite beer as a newly able to drink 21 year old. I walked into Food Lion with a six pack of this, and the girl at checkout did not ID me. WTF???
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 oldrtybastrd (3228) - Fort Walton Beach, Florida, USA - DEC 27, 2005
Pours a nice medium amber color. Nice roast aromas. Flavor has a roast almost burnt grain flavor to it.
1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20 stegosaurus (1882) - Levittown, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 11, 2005
