Commercial Description:
Dunkel weisse dark wheat ale, all malt and unfiltered. A dark wheat ale featuring our own unique yeast and malted wheat. A special Bavarian yeast strain combined with select wheat malt deliviers unmistakeable clove and banana tones. The surprisingly light finish is a character of dark weissbeir, a style with roots back to the 1520s. A dunkel which is perfect for any season! To serve this brew perfectly, pour it down the side of the glass untill about a half inch is left. Gently swirl the bottle mixing what’s left. Pour the rest of the brew into the glass to produce a nice thick collar of foam and enjoy!

bottle - Pours cloudy amber with a one finger tall, very light tan head. It has a mild malt aroma with a little chocolate. The flavor is sweet, lightly toasted caramel malt with a hint of chocolate. I drank this one side by side with a Two Brothers Bonfire Dunkel Weiss and it’s a tossup which one is better. Both were quite drinkable but not impressive.

A dark wheat beer. Nice color, interesting aroma with a hint of bannana and clove. Chocolate and caramel malts. A familiar taste. Like a real European beer - not like a take on a German beer.

Bottle. Poured a hazy brown with an off-white head that settles to a ring and left light lace. Aromas of dark fruits, wheat, and light spice. The flavor finds fruit, wheat, and lemon, with a light malt background. Medium body and sweet.

12 oz bottle. Pours a deep copper nutty brown, clear, mid sized head- slight diminshing. Aroma is nutty, toasty, dried paper- char and light roast- slight phenolic vanillla and clove. Flavor is toasty, char, papery, thin, phenolic and light fruitiness. Dry and very thin finish with a slight acrid character- slight astringent. Meh.

This was alright with hints of bananas and clove poured dark brown with thick tan head ,i wish the mass producers of beer would leave this style to the crafters.CHEERS!

Bottle thanks to MrBunn. stirred up river bottom pour with an off white foamy head. Heavy aromas of bananas and damp basement. Fortunately the taste is about one step above the smell. Not much at first but as it nears the throat the banana and clove tend to come out and then disappear. finish is uneventful at best. E+

Very interesting brew from the Michelob line. There is a wheaty, almost banana smell. Decent pour. Complex taste. Smooth and interesting.
