It has a mild malt aroma with a little chocolate. The flavor is sweet, lightly toasted caramel malt with a hint of chocolate. I drank this one side by side with a Two Brothers Bonfire Dunkel Weiss and it’s a tossup which one is better. Both were quite drinkable but not impressive. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 28, 2009 A dark wheat beer. Nice color, interesting aroma with a hint of bannana and clove. Chocolate and caramel malts.
A familiar taste. Like a real European beer - not like a take on a German beer. BeerHawk (1203), Huntsville, Alabama, USA

Poured a hazy brown with an off-white head that settles to a ring and left light lace. Aromas of dark fruits, wheat, and light spice. The flavor finds fruit, wheat, and lemon, with a light malt background. Medium body and sweet. Dickinsonbeer (3608), Hoboken, New Jersey, USA

| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Mar 25, 2009 Bottle thanks to MrBunn. stirred up river bottom pour with an off white foamy head. Heavy aromas of bananas and damp basement. Fortunately the taste is about one step above the smell. Not much at first but as it nears the throat the banana and clove tend to come out and then disappear. finish is uneventful at best. E+ ThaBobfather (178), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA
