If you got to drink this class of beer - this is my go to. Seems to have just a bit more body and taste than the competition.

12 oz. bottle pours a clear pale yellow with small white head. Nothing to smell. Aroma has some grains, corn, and slight skunkiness (since I tried an older clear bottle left over from Dad’s poker party). Taste is non-descript with a slightly bitter finish, as if it tries to be inoffensive to all. Body is thin with some carbonation.

Michelob Golden Draft Light has a thick, stark-white head, a clear straw, bubbly appearance, and a bit of lacing left behind. The aroma is of sweet, slightly musty grain, and the flavor is similar. The beer is quite akin to other major, mass-produced light beers. Mouthfeel is light and watery, and Michelob Golden Draft Light finishes crisp, clean, refreshing, and dry. Overall, it’s a very good beer. RJT

UPDATED: FEB 17, 2013 Crystal clear yellow with a decent head that doesn’t fade immediately. Clean aroma of sweet malt and a little green apple acetaldehyde like Bud. Very light body, crisp, clean, slight malt sweetness. Clean, crisp finish. The best of the big 3.

Have you ever revisited a favorite movie from your childhood (e.g. Rudy, Hoosiers) and found out that it was unbearable? In college, I thought that Michelob Golden Draft Light was decent beer, but having tasted it again for the first time in a long time, it’s actually pretty bad. It’s as if you put some buttered corn on the cob in a blender and poured it into a pint glass. Light bodied, bubbly, yellow, buttery, huge corn flavor. This could be good stuff for tailgating though, when you’re more concerned about the food than the quality of beverage.
