ChrisPants (317), Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA Dec 30, 2004 Thin, watery, blah. No substance, no notable aroma or aftertaste. Even for a light cheap beer, you could do better with PBR or something with character. I won’t try this again unless it’s the only thing available. Harmless, but extremely uninteresting. Tried from a can. badgerben (3586), Blaine, Minnesota, USA Dec 6, 2004 You could make an argument about this being better than the regular Golden Draft since this has absolutely no flavor whatsoever and thus, can not offend the palate. Braudog (3733), Dayton, Ohio, USA Jul 13, 2004 Sampled at the hospitality room following the A-B brewery tour in STL. It looks as you’d expect ... it’s smooth and crisp and I was actually pleasantly surprised ... decent sweet malt tones. Not gross! (But not good, either). REDDOGICE (202), nantucket, Massachusetts, USA Jul 7, 2004 Nasty shit! this is swill american made to nasty shit its piss in a bottle. Ringo (959), Loveland, Colorado, USA Jun 20, 2004 I’m not even sure what the regular Golden Draft is supposed to be, but this tastes, and might as well be, the same. Why does A-B make a bunch of "different" beer that is all basically the same? smoosh (523), New Albany, Indiana, USA Jun 18, 2004 Draft at the brewery. Terrible. Waterlike in every way. Why bother? How do they make beer with no color, flavor or aroma? robertsreality (2460), Minnesota, USA Jun 14, 2004 Again....thought Michelob was bad...they prove it can get worse...then there’s ultra.... Nuffield (2718), Roseville, Minnesota, USA May 30, 2004 A sweet, corn aroma shows no signs of skunkiness (surprising, I thought, in light of the clear glass bottle). Very slight flavor, which I suppose could be thought of as a mixed blessing. Poor, watery palate. Nothing to write home about here, but not among the very worst beers either.
