2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
12 oz bottle: Pours a almost straw color that can almost be called golden with a medium white head. Aroma is on the malty side. Taste is malty and pretty crisp with a flavor that is grainy. Easy to drink and a decent warm weather beer which is odd that they seem to only have this in the north. It might be heavier than a typical macro and that could be the reason.

Bottle. Pretty much your typical full-flavored macro. Light and fizzy with the taste of corn and grains. Good mass consumption or mowing the lawn

Not bad for a macro. AND it isn’t available everywhere. I had this one at the St. Louis brewery actually. Session beer worthy. Easy to drink and pretty refreshing. Not amazing but decent.

Mich Golden is a great tasting everyday beer. Really smooth with a good taste and no bitter after taste. I may choose the Mich Gold Lite to save on the calories but overall a good beer.

It poured a little darker than the light version of this beer. The aroma was of corn, hops, and so on. The taste was a little more pronounced in this lager, a little more bitter.

Bottle at La Fonda in Eagan, MN. Pale clear yellow pour with minimal white head. Aroma and taste of light grain. Not much going on here.

Tasted directly from bottle. Predictable golden color, white head, light body, no discernable hops, very fizzy, metallic aftertaste. Mainly available in Illinois and other northern states, a deliberate Anheuser Busch tactic to infiltrate Miller territory. Get it? Miller Genuine Draft = MGD = Michelob Golden Draft? As with any ol’ macro-mock-pilsner, it tastes fine ice cold outside on a really hot summer day. The coolest thing about this beer is the fluted glass bottle.

Dear God this was bad.
Thin golden pour with a minimal arom of anything resembling beer.
The taste was thin and slightly grassy.

UPDATED: JUL 6, 2012 Tastes very similar MGD, meaning not much flavor but not nasty tasting either.

1.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 6/20
Draft at Tom’s Bar and Grill in the Central West End. Pours pretty much like every other A-B beer- pale yellow and clear with visible carbonation and a fizzy white head. Not much on the aroma- some pale malts and grassy, straw notes with a little sugary sweetness. The flavor has pale malts, grass, banana, sugar, and corny cereal grains. No skunky notes. Light-bodied with medium-high carbonation. Not much here but it worked just fine with limited options afer a long bike ride.
