It’s okay for A-B standards but not one that I’d buy again unless I was going to a party and I didn’t like the host. ;)

At best a wheat ale. Just using some wheat and leaving the yeast does not qualify a beer to be a hefeweizen. Lacks ’hefe’ flavors and aromas.

UPDATED: APR 15, 2004 Definitely a jewel in the michelob christmas gift pack. Hefeweizens are the best. Would definitely buy this again.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: OCT 27, 2006 A good summer beer, but without a whole lot of wheat character. I agree with the rater below, and the label, that this could take a shot of lemon juice. Decent flavor with some clean bittering. Doesn’t cling to the back of the palate and make you want to spit, like regular Michelob. A solid macrobrew value for $4.75/6

I love this beer! Absolutely great for a cheap macro. This is my favorite American macrobrew. I believe it is underated. Michelob’s best product!

mmm water. This piss colored drainage runoff was a ncie attempt, but come on. You’d figure a wheat beer would taste like wheat, right? Riiiiiiight? Apprently Anheuser-busch had a brilliant plan: ’Let’s market the exact same beer as Michelob draft, except call it a wheat beer RUAHAHAHA’ And yes im sure they added the maniacal laugh. I can’t taste the wheat at all...this is just weak and watery and plain.

Not a bad pint but as with all Michelob ’craft brews’ this one doesn’t carry too much imagination. It was a nice idea of A-B to come up with a craft label, but why don’t they leave the crap ingredients out and try and come up with something better? Maybe they believed that hefeweizens need a lemon and just didn’t care. Decent flavors but a little too cold and fizzy.

I really like Wheat beers with food. Unfortunately, I didn’t have anything with this. I would buy this again and try it with food. It wasn’t bad alone though.

1.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 4/20
Finally an AB product that is only bad, unlike all of their other products I have tasted which suck. The beer tastes like it is two years old even though it is only 64 days old. I agree with the label that this beer would be enhanced with a lemon. It would be further enhanced if it had quality ingredients and wasn’t brewed for the average Michelob drinker that feels like experimenting.

UPDATED: NOV 4, 2004 Nice try, but no cigar. Although it looks great it seemed a little watery and too hoppy. Bitter finish and the addition of a little lemon seemed to unbalance it even more. I must say though that after sitting in the glass for a few minutes and warming up, it is getting better. Still too hoppy though.
