(12oz bottle, courtesy of Mora2000) Pours a clear golden body with a small white head. Aroma of earth, grass, and faint citrus. Subtle flavor of earth and straw. Essentially, not a far strech from some tap water.

Bottle from a real discount store. Pours amber with a creamy light beige head. Medium caramel aroma. Med body. Flavor is rather toffee, perhaps with a touch of diacetyl. There’s some decent noble hop bitter. It actually has some bitter in the finish.

Sparkling clear, amber lager. Large, fizzy, white head. The aroma is of malt and yeast with hints of cheap perfume. The flavor is too sweet, thin and watery. Lively carbonation. Short, sweet finish with a parting shot of damp straw.

Bottle poured a clear light amber with a lasting offwhite head. Aromas of bread, carmel and light nuttiness. Palkate was light to medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of carmel, bread and a hint of citrus with a smooth moderatly bitter finish.

UPDATED: AUG 31, 2009 Eh, I have grown tired of trying the Mich beers in hopes that they actually brew a good one. I give up. malty on the nose and very malty with some sweetness. Pretty damn bland. Not one I will try again.

The old college try at a Marzen for Augie. Some malt and slightly sweet flavor, with a fairly smooth finish. Acceptable.

Bottled, born on 8/10/07. Poured clear medium amber with a short cap of off-white head.. nice color to it. The aroma picked up artificially-sweetened, lightly-toasted caramel malts.. sweet, simple, and artificial, but pleasant. The flavor lost a step, probably 2 with some sweet maltage at the core (not really caramel or otherwise identifiable).. faint fruits and mild herbal bitterness in there, too. Light-bodied with lively carbonation.. too much artificial sweetener and unnecessary sharpness especially on the back-end. Drinkable, but not very good.
