Aroma is of caramel and malts. Taste is similiar and is a little sweet. Reminds me of a less flavorful version of their Amber bock. Is fairly smooth, refreshing and goes down easy. Not their best offering, but it is pretty good for the price and a nice deviation from the norm. JMerritt (1315), Macomb, Illinois, USA
| 1.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 1/5 | 4/20 | Apr 2, 2008 I can’t let my pal Dan rate this thing alone. :) Clear amber with medium white frothy head that is mostly diminishing, but does leave a decent lacing. Light caramel aroma with vanilla cookie highlights - it’s light, but seems to mask the usual wet grainy aroma I suspect is under there. Mildly sweet flavor, starts to touch caramel malt territory before swerving into grainy, sweet-corn city. Finish is slightly sour, very watery. Thin palate, with an overabundance of carbonation. Still, heads and tails better than most of Anheuser-Busch’s offerings. I’ll gladly reach for one of these over a Bud Light. Narnad (691), Wonder Lake, Illinois, USA

Appearance of the beer is a dirty golden color, like someone had wrung out a dish rag into your bud light. Aroma is hidden very well since there is none. Flavor is pretty sweet at the end but overall not much there to taste. Overall a beer that I will probably never buy for myself. UnholyBrewing (448), Melbourne(Mulgrave), Australia
| 0.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 1/10 | 2/5 | 1/10 | 1/5 | 1/20 | Mar 28, 2008 ...Amber? As in color, or what? Same bullshit as the other ultra, metallic water, but I guess this one has more alcohol. No point in wasting your money on this trash. Goodgrief (1149), Middletown, Delaware, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Mar 10, 2008 Sept. 2007 - For a light beer, it could have been a lot worse. Beer poured amber color, fizzy head. Aroma of not much of anything. The flavor was a bit more bold than most macro lagers, which considering it is a light beer means it’s probably "better" than most of them. Anyway, some sweet lagery taste with a modicum of bitterness. Really fizzy and overcarbonated. I’ve had a lot worse. alexsdad06 (1080), Ohio, USA
| 1.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 3/5 | 2/10 | 1/5 | 4/20 | Feb 27, 2008 12 oz. bottle from mother in law. Pours a clear light amber in color with a small white head. There is little in the way of aroma or flavor save for some weak malt and whatever chemicls come in the water they use. Thin and nothing at the end (why would there be when there was nothing at the front or middle?). thenumber1g (68), Cary, North Carolina, USA
| 1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 3/5 | 1/10 | 1/5 | 3/20 | Feb 25, 2008 I honestly thought this beer was worse then I thought it would be! It looked pretty tempting at the store however I regret buying it now! I spent $6.56 on a six pack that was definitely not worth it! I guess the if their is a bright spot it would be the appearance! cb23 (97), St. louis, Missouri, USA
| 0.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 1/10 | 1/5 | 1/10 | 1/5 | 1/20 | Feb 22, 2008 I thought this beer was actually worse than the regular michelob ultra. I think the guys at A-B just put some food coloring in the regular version and marketed it as a dark beer.
