| 1.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 1/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 3/20 | Jun 26, 2006 another at sea world beer school, that is eaten with guda cheese. better than the michelob ultra though... cazort (413), Newark, Delaware, USA
| 1.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 1/5 | 3/20 | Jun 25, 2006 A poor excuse for a light beer, although admittedly it’s better than some. There is a bit more richness to the malt flavour than in some light beers. I would not guess this was an ultra-light by the taste, but this doesn’t mean it’s any good. Carbonation is too weak. No bitterness, no crispness. As you drink more, a chemical aftertaste develops, which is very unpleasant. Bottom line: not a good beer. ElGaucho (1730), Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA
| 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 3/5 | 6/20 | Jun 18, 2006 Tap at Warner Park, home of the Madison Mallards, WI. Virtually no aroma. Lots of carbonation rising from the bottom of my plastic beer cup. Reddish amber color. Thin layer of creamy, off-white head. Better than most of the macro lagers, because at least this has roasted malt. Just not much flavor. Not exactly worthy of my 1300th rating. HarmonKill-a-Brew (318), Wilmar, Arkansas, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Jun 14, 2006 Updated: Nov 20, 2007Another free sample i got at Sea World. The fact that it was so damn hot that day probably added to the rating. Sweet and a nice thirst quencher... little else. Nejhleader (929), Lemoyne, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Jun 10, 2006 has a light brown colour to it. for a light beer this has to be one with the most flavor. tastes much like the regular amber, but is a bit thinner. started to give me a bad taste after 3/4 through the first one. bourne (161), Suwon, South Korea
| 1.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 2/10 | 2/5 | 3/20 | Jun 1, 2006 Pours slightly darker than regular Michelob ultra, still carbonated with a weak head. this one has a little bit more flavor and atleast a decent amount of alcohol in it. frankenkitty (1900), Oak Lawn, Illinois, USA
| 0.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 1/10 | 3/5 | 2/10 | 1/5 | 2/20 | May 19, 2006 Pours a mostly clear, bright copper with zero carb (-onation) and a dingy white head. Dusty, adjuncty aroma of sulphrous DMS. Has almost a non-flavor with mineral water and the hangings-on of sour maltiness. "Ultra"-watery body.
I remember finding some of these same qualities in Michelob Ultra but I never rated it and will be damned if I try it again unless I find one for free. What we seem to have here is some A-B chicanery of adding some color to a crappy light beer to make the low-carb crowd feel less wussy. Bah... I’m not falling for it.
