Michelob ULTRA Amber is an American-style amber lager that boasts a beautifully rich, dark-amber color with a full-bodied, malty taste that also is low in calories and carbohydrates.

You know I was not expecting much so I was not really disappointed. The aroma is sweet with caramel and a corn like maltiness. The appearance is light amber with a medium fizzy head that fades fast. The flavor is light but inoffensive save a tad bit of metal. The palate is thin of course which makes this beer taste an awful lot like water. Overall itís better than regular Michelob Ultra but donít expect too much from a low carb beer.

Albertsonís Liquor Store, Baton Rouge, La. - 12 oz bottle. Pours an almost translucent light copper with a minimal white, fizzy head. Aroma is wet paper-baggish with a bit of alcohol and an ever so faint trace of mint. Flavor is non-descript, sort of club soda like and some stale, worn out bubble gum notes. That is about it. Mouthfeel is light and spritzy - not the quality I look for in a beer. Drinkable, but so is water. Good thing I need to lose a few pounds - ícause I bought a whole six of this!

There is a slight grainy aroma but not very much. The color is a light, amber with a small off white head that quickly evaporates. A slightly sweet funky taste that finishes weak on the palate.

A dark orange appearance with no head, it smells like cooked vegetables. The flavor is bland with a hint of caramel. The mouthfeel is quite watery. This is like a Killians Lite. Not much too it but better than regular Ultra.

Bottle at Montgomery Inn Boathouse. Poured a clear brown with an average white head that diminished slowly and had small lacing. Light toasted malt aroma. Light body with a thin texture. Light balanced sweet flavor with a short finish. Small improvement over Ultra.

pours a light brown w/ visable carbonation and some nice white head w/ some ok lacing. Very boring scent, not much to it. Some light grains and very light malt notes and a good amount of bread. Palate is way to thin, nice carbonation. Flavor is a light floral hop a big bunch of grains a hint of bread and maybe a tiny spec of malt.. mabye. This is far from good, but far from bad as well. Not bad especially for a michelob.

Light bitter, served in bottle. I didnít finish it because it was just plain not good. Finish was not clean, left bad taste in mouth. No depth or complexity. I was one of the first to order it at this bar, and I know why.

Slight aroma of malt. Very light amber in color with a white head that quickly vanished. Light body. Virtually no finish.

Dark, light beer. Now thereís an interesting idea. Unfortunately Michekobís attempt falls a bit short of the goal. The aroma is very typical of any other Michelob product, its watery and the color is closer to orange than amber.
