1.4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 5/20
12 oz clear bottle poured into an AB stemmed glass for maximum presentation. Head tumbles quicly into a glass of light gold liquid in under 5 seconds, looking like a cheap cider. Aroma is a pretty much disguisting mess of asprin and lime. Taste is on the sweet side with some maltiness and artificial lime juice. It has some sort of Alka Seltzer effervescence going on but not much else.

Bottled as "Michelob Ultra Lime Cactus", Born on 7/21/07. Poured clear bright golden with very active carbonation and a dusting of white head... sticky bubbles clung to the side of the glass. The aroma was not unlike a diluted portion of some of that lime juice that comes in those bulbous dark green containers that are supposed to approximate the shape and texture of a lime.. really nothing else going on. The flavor had sharp, tart lime notes throughout with dry pale malt and wheat-like notes and tacky vegetal sticking much longer than it should have on the finish. Biting carbonation, dry, tacky, and just plain ugly on the palate.. limey, super-dry finish. Blech.

Had a free sample at an event in Scottsdale. I did not take notes. It was very deeply flavored with lime but not in an artificial weird way. The wife liked it. If the opportunity for another free sample arises I will re rate with proper notes.

1.4 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20
Bottle. Very light in color with little to no head. Fruity aroma of limes. There is very little body to the beer, very watery. The flavor is a artificially sweet lime with a bit of a tequilla note in the aftertaste. Aside from that, there isn’t much else going on with this one. If I had to choose one, I would rather a Miller Chill.

12oz clear bottle. Aroma of lime Jello. Looks plain, piss looking. Flavor of lime Jello powder mixed in Italian mineral water. Sparkling and plain, BORING...!

0.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 2/20
Why? That’s my first question. Clear bottle. Clear yellow beer with an instantly disappearing fizz. Super sweet smell of a lime popsicle. I think you could freeze this and serve it to small children and they wouldn’t react at all. Fruit pop in a glass. Again ... why? (#3053, 8/10/2007)

I was looking for a near-beer, bought this instead, very light, limey, almost soda-pop like, my wife will like this, think of a light tequiza that is somewhat refreshing

3.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
I really enjoyed the ’lightness’ of this beer and the fruity flavor. I had bought the Miller Chill because I love Lime and the Michelob Lime Cactus I thought was so much better. More fruity and smooth.

0.7 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 2/20
Pale gold pour with fizzy, quickly fading whitish head. I got some slight lime aroma in this, plus slight hopcitric aroma, but the flavor was lacking and beset by wet cardboardy off notes. To make this at home, mix a michelob Ultra 60/40 with water and throw in a few drops of Real Lime.
