Poured clear bright golden with very active carbonation and a dusting of white head. The aroma was powerfully sweet with raspberries leading the way.. it was a Pixie Stix crossed with that powdered candy that you dip the maple-flavored sugar stick into after you lick it sweetness.. talk about way over the top. The flavor had extra-sweet raspberry syrup over pale malts, with some tart pomegranate notes on the back-side of the tongue.. the sweetness subsided a bit on the dry, quick finish to portry some dry, grainy pale malts. Light-bodied on the palate with fizzy, almost oppressive carbonation.. again, a dry, quick finish. This sure was memorable, but not for any techical merits. Heathen (795), Riverside, New Jersey, USA
| 1.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Sep 3, 2007 THOUGHTS: Tastes like Clearly Canadian. Best of the three flavored Ultra, but still not good. I can’t really see anyone liking these beers much. Flavor is nice, but it is too weak and disappears too quickly.
TECHNICAL: Bottle. Poured a clear, medium yellow with a small to average, white head. The aroma was fruity. Mostly rapberry and I guess pomegranate. The flavor was lightly sweet and acidic moving toward lightly sweet and sour with a short to average finishduration. The dominant flavors were fruity, I think there was more raspberry than pomegranate. The light body was dry but sticky on the lips and had very fizzy carbonation and a moderagely astringent finish. | 1.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 2/10 | 1/5 | 6/20 | Aug 27, 2007 This one was slightly better than the orange, with some raspberry aroma and flavor notes that I found somewhat thirst slaking. Weak palate. Aurelius (2647), Tallahassee, Florida, USA
| 1.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 1/5 | 4/10 | 1/5 | 6/20 | Aug 21, 2007 Smells like cherry lifesavers. As I watch the big fluffy white head collapse slowly onto the pale, clear liquid in the glass, I ponder the thin membrane that is the border between beer and alcopop. This is surely a waterbug that dances on the surface tension, unnoticed by the beer world, but unworthy of a funny Bartles and Jaymes commercial. Sweet, a little bready, fruity, lightly tart, no bitterness. Luden’s drop finish which is mercifully quick. Thanks again for your support. MadMan (497), Tempe, Arizona, USA

This was my favorite of the bunch, very lightly flavored and natural tasting. The wife liked it, although she may have like the lime one better I forget....who cares really. If the opportunity for another free sample arises I will re rate with proper notes. SudsMcDuff (1691), was CapeTown,SA-now Houston, Texas, USA

Taste is what you would expect from a fruit flavoured mass marketed drink, but as with the aroma, doesn’t taste to fake- just muddled.. Overall, better than i thought it would be but still lacks anything a real beer drinker would want! ...’oh yeah’ MichelleB26 (1), USA does not count | 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 7/20 | Aug 7, 2007 I really like this beer. I found it at the grocery and I had to try it. I like that the flavor isn’t overpowering and that the beer isn’t sweet. I like things with fruit flavors, but can’t stand wine coolers because they are too sweet. I wouldn’t buy this as my regular beer, but once in a while for something different.
