This was one of the worst beers ever invented. The fruity taste was horrible. I wouldn’t wish this beer on my worst enemy.

It’s a pretty refreshing drink on a hot day if your really thirsty. I actually wouldn’t classify this as a beer, it tastes like artificially flavored water. It’s not a bad drink if you need to chug something but I just can’t bring myself to call it a beer.

Appearance: Pours a clear, light yellow body with a tiny, and I do mean tiny, white head. Smell: 75% raspberries, 25% pomegranates, but 100% artificial. Taste: About the same for the taste, though, mercifully, it isn’t too sweet. Vaguest hint of grain beneath the flavoring. Ultra fake through to the very end of this thing. Mouthfeel: Thin-bodied. Medium-low carbonation. Drinkability: Their Tuscan Orange was acceptable, but this, however, was so intensely artificial in flavor as to be unpleasant.

Name: Michelob Ultra Pomegranate Raspberry
Date: 06/06/2008
Mode: Bottle
Source: Total Wine, GA

Appearance: clear yellow, fine white head, drippy bits of lace,
Aroma: big sweet fruity aroma with a nice raspberry tartness, candy sweetness like a fruit rollup,
Flavor: sweet fruit flavor, just a touch of raspberry tartness balances the sweetness, very little hops or bitterness,
Overall: basically a fruit soda, not bad as a soda, not much for a beer,

Not good malt nastiness. Thought maybe it would surprise. NOPE. NRA show Chicago. Yuck. Nasty mistake.

This fruit beer pours a very light yellow gold color from a clear 12oz bottle. Small to medium sized quickly diminishing white foamy head. The aroma is raspberries and sweet. A very light bodied fruit beer. The malts are cereal and grain. The hops are slightly spicy. Lively carbonation, some small bubbles. Again it is basically a Michelob ultra, so it’s flavored club soda. The raspberry flavors are semi sweet and a touch artificial and thin tasting. I liked the Tuscan orange better, but this is still better than Ultra. Mouthfeel is thin. Finish is clean and crisp. Aftertaste is mostly neutral.

Tried at a beer tasting in Concord, New Hampshire (USA) on May 16, 2008. Poured into a 5 oz. plastic cup a light yellow-straw tone and a short-lived bubbly white head. This thing was exploding with the aroma of raspberry. I mean, where was the beer smell? I felt like I was standing near a raspberry bush. The flavor was a lot more subtle than the aroma that’s for sure. Another rather average A-B product with an overwhelming desire to be a wine cooler. I can’t say as I was terribly impressed.

Smells quite tart and berry fruity. Ubiquitous appearance once in the glass, pale yellow. Taste is nearly artificial fruity so its nothing like the pure sour fruit of a lambic. Somewhat similar to most other craft brewed fruit beers. For some reason I was expecting something sweeter. Finish is flavored pale lager with malt liquor hints and this is surprising considering this is only 4+%.
