8/5/07 Aroma is a strange candy flavor I can’t quite place; kind of like an orange smartie or sweet tart; NOT GOOD. Appearance is clear light yellow with a dissipating white head. Flavor is carbonic dry candy forward with slight secondary sweetness and nothing else, no hop or malt character. Mouthfeel is light bodied with a watery texture and lots of spritziness. Overall, fairly funky, and I can’t believe this is based off a beer!

12oz bottle from Total Wine (Tampa, FL). Pours a crystal clear light yellow color with a one finger white head that settles quickly to nothing. Aroma is sweet and citrusy with notes of powered Tang, 7-up and hints of honey, grapefruit and citrus. Flavor is light and watery with notes of citrus, grapefruit, 7-up and sour malt. Light body with no finish. Not good at all. Reminds me of a wine cooler.

Bottle - A girl had this beer and I tried it. Did not pour, straight from the bottle. Unlike the Pomegranate Raspberry one, this one is 1/2 way drinkable. But is is not for me. Way too fruity, obviously trying to appeal to the ladies.

Tallahassee, Fl. - Publix Supermarkets - 12 oz bottle. Well, it has come down to this - I am scouting out grocery stores to find "unrated" beer - this is all I could find! Light to medium golden pour - absolutely no head. Brief orange candy aroma - kind of like Tic-Tacs. Not unpleasant. Tastes like weak orange tea, or maybe an orange soda that went flat. Like all Ultras, mouthfeel is way too spritzy, suitable for thirst quenching purposes.

Bottle at the Brewmasters Club at Busch Gardens, Tampa. Very light colored pour with a white head. Aroma is of orange and grapefruit as you would expect, grapefruit is all that really stands out in the flavor.

Bottle from Capone’s. Pale gold pour with minimal head. The aroma was half-decent, with a realistic orangy note and slight hopcitrus. Weak palate, with mild hopcitrus and orange in the flavor.

Pours pale yellow with an sweet citrus aroma. Flavor is like watered down carbonated orange kool-aid.

Nice aroma but that’s about as far as it goes. Pale, hint of citrus in the taste, but without it there is nothing.
