After my tasting of the Michelob Ultra Lime Cactus, I was debating if I should save myself the time and just open the bottle and pour it down the drain without a moment of hesitation but alas I figured why not be a ratings whore today and abuse my palate some more!

I opened the bottle (bought as a single) and poured it into my pint glass: Grassy light golden hue with a quickly disappearing fizzy head and zero lace. The aroma smells just like a orange Slice soda which in itself is not so bad but alas this is suppose to be a beer right? I guess if really take a deep inhale I can pick out some soapy pale malt but zero hints of any grapefruit vapours. Weeeeee....

The taste is gosh darn AWFUL, think of an OLD CAN of "insert your favorite orange soda here" with a hint of old pale grains. There is little else I can say but to AVOID this crap at all cost. Clearly aimed at the flavored wine cooler crowd. This is even worse than the Lime "beer" was...arggh!

Aroma of corn and oranges. Clear yellow, thin vanishing head. Stale corn and rotten orange flavor, some oxidation, as well. Bad even for alcopop. I’d rather just have plain water.

Bottle. Pours light gold with a white head. Light aroma of orange soda. Tastes like blend of about 75% Michelob Ultra and 25% orange soda. Not that bad. The fake orange flavor covers up most of the malt adjunct flavors.

Mixed 6, they really are pushing craft with that label. Pours a golden pale body with white head. Light orange and berry, thin and grainy weak body, i didn’t like this much at all.

odd attempt from a beer company I do not like. They are however striving for a better beer and I can totally respect that. This is one is pretty bad.

Had a sample at a big food and beer tasting in Cedar Falls, IA. Tastes like pop, too sweet, and not all that dandy.

Very light golden color...almost clear. Thin head that has almost no lace to it. Citrus aroma, with grapefruit and orange notes. Fruity profile of the aroma continues into the front, accompanied by a mellow citrus tang...crisp mouthfeel. Fruit flavors slowly give way to a light sweetness in the back. Mild citrus finish. Looking past the obvious orange and grapefruit flavors, there is nothing too complex about this brew...thirst quenching on a hot summer day though.

i guess i’ll compare this one to it’s lime cousin. not as good. harsh orange bite. not smooth at all even on a 100 degree day.
