OK, I’ll admit it, this big hophead lover tried some of his girlfriend V’s Michelob Ultra after golf. I also have to admit, it is a refreshing beer, not one that I would drink all the time or buy a case of it, but it is a quality product. Had a clean crisp fresh taste to it, but for the calories and low carbs, does taste watered down. Not bad for a light beer on a hot day or after golf.

Bottle in Miami Airport. Almost clear with a yellowish tinge, good head. Mild corn malt aroma. Virtually no flavour, cereal if anything. Watery but sharp. A bit more flavour than Bud Light but still alcoholic water.

Served in a p plastic cup after running 10.6 miles @ Big Sur. After the run it was delicious, so my overall score is higher, but now analysing it, it is just like all the other light beers, did detect a bit of fruitiness, possibly from the yeast, but could just be because its a light beer. Also got me buzzed quick, being @ 4.2 is pretty high for its class.

16 oz tin bottle. Pours very very light yellow. No aroma, bare-est malty flavour.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 ronaldtheriot (362) - Laplace, Louisiana, USA - APR 2, 2011
Michelob Ultra has a thick, stark white head, and a clear, straw appearance, with lots of active carbonation and little lacing. The aroma is of water, but a surprising bready character is present, which was pleasant. Taste is mostly of clean water, but some maltiness shows up. Hop bitterness is almost nonexistent. Mouthfeel is light, thin, and watery, and Michelob Ultra finishes crisp, fairly refreshing, and easy drinking. Although just average-plus for beer overall, I’d say as far as light beers go, this one is excellent. Yes, it’s super-light, but that’s the intention.
