I don't know, how can people drink this stuff and call it great beer.Nice macro brew color but thats the end of the great revue now it's down and dirty.faint pale head a very slight malt aroma, some hops and the smell of the river here in my town just as the ice breaks up.flavor was watery little to no real taste other then it was some what malty the once in a while errant hop flavor.this is ridiculous and don't deserve a long revue game over .

UPDATED: SEP 16, 2004 Watery aroma with hints of beer. Watery front. Beer flavor becomes appearant as it progresses. Finish is watery with a beer-like after-taste. In a weird tasteless way, this is kind of good. Reminds me of the lemon-flavored, 0-calorie carbonated water my mom drinks only a bit sweeter. How do you make a low-carb product out of grain?

Little beer aroma and poured with a fizzy head. Lively carbonation like club soda. Has a mouthfeel like club soda as well. Goes down well but little here to speak of.

UPDATED: JUL 30, 2005 Draft. It boasts ultra light and not ultra flavor right? Well, at least I’m not getting fat.

Not many surprises here. Pours an ultra-pallid yellow with boatloads of carbonation desperately attempting to rebuild a fallen head of white. Dusty, adjuncty aroma with notes of Play-Doh and a quick whiff of alcohol. Flavor is more of a "non-flavor" with a mineral water base limply presenting a hint of sweetness with a dash of corny grains and a note of sourness on the finish.

While seemingly devoid of any redeeming qualities, this beer is not without a saving grace. No, it is NOT so Biff McHardbody can cop a righteous buzz while maintaining his rock-hard abs. The redeeming facet of any "Low-Carb" is that they allow diabetics (like my octogenarian mother) to occasionally sample what they remember as "beer" without too much worry about diving into a diabetic-coma. Hell, I may be in the same boat someday and I hope that some forward-thinking micro will pursue the low-carb trend and propose a tastier solution than what is currently on the market.

this is the ugliest looking beer i have seen since the CCCB. watered light yellow that had a white head at pour but it vanished. rough adjunct aroma. most light beers have a non threatening bland taste. this is actually bad. rancid grape taste that is hard to grapple with. the aroma gets worse as i drink this. Damnit why couldn’t the chick i bought this for have taken the remainder home with her this morning. Screw this I’m gonna pour this out and finish off the bottle of wine from last night.

I was blessed enough to have the opportunity to taste this side-by-side with Coors Aspen Edge. Wow. Two low-carb beers, in a head-to-head competition? Regrettably, as a suburbanite station wagon-driving parent, that is about as exciting as my day tends to get. Anyways, it's pale as could be, smells like nothing and I would have said it tastes like nothing, except the Aspen Edge stuff had less flavor than Ultra. Ultra had a vague cidery taste to it. Oh, and it sucked ass.

Wow, is this really a beer? Way too carbonated and thin, with a chemical taste. Frankly, YUCK. Never thought I’d have worse than Coors Light, but congrats AB, you did it. How the hell is this gaining popularity?
