1.5 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 7/20 b33r (457) - Cleveland, Alabama, USA - APR 1, 2007
I just had to try this one...pale yellow, champagne colored with small diminishing, bright white head. Faint sour aroma with similarly sour flavor. Very light and simple, with plain finish and no surprises.
1.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20 hellbilly (2857) - scottsdale über alles, Arizona, USA - JAN 23, 2010
pours just darker than spring water... it has some yellow in it but it is the palest looking brew i’ve ever seen.
the nose is faint but there is nothing wrong with it... some toast, grain and a touch of yeast.
the flavor is the same... it tastes a whole lot like pellegrino sparkling water actually. not bad but certainly not good.
the body is way light. high prickly carbonation doesn’t help matters but it does make it go down quickly... 3/1/3/2/6/1.5
1.5 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 7/20 blipp (3600) - Newark, New Jersey, USA - JAN 16, 2008
Bottle. Appearance: Pale yellow, thin off white head. Aroma: Very little, faint cereal or corn smell. Palate: Thin and watery. Flavor: Not much there, but not offensive at least. A little bit of corn and hops. Overall: Not a horrible beer, better than a lot of the other macros out there today.
1.5 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 scooterbub (534) - Lander, Wyoming, USA - APR 11, 2008
Bottle. Pours a light yellow with a big foamy white head that fades. Aroma and Taste is fairly clean, but malt can barely be detected. Is unoffensive tasting. Is also fairly crisp, clean and refreshing. Overall, this isn’t a bad light beer as it is inexpensive, but it isn’t the best light beer Michelob offers.
1.5 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20 mgoy (345) - New York, New York, USA - MAR 2, 2008
After Anheuser-Busch failed with Michelob Light, you thought they would do something better with their vats than create MIchelob Ultra. Less calories and carbs is a nice idea, but a am not sure why anyone would drink this.
1.5 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20 taphandle (991) - Texas, USA - MAR 20, 2010
On draft. Yellow with a frothy head and loaded with carbonation. No real aroma and then a thin and watery taste. No hops, no bitterness. Not even a good source of calories or alcohol.
1.5 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 FreshHawk (596) - Iowa City, Iowa, USA - MAR 14, 2010
Bottle.
A - Very clear straw color with a smaller than average bubbly white head. Settles pretty fast with no lacing.
S - Pretty standard light lager/adjunct smell. Grainy, corny malt with not a lot else. Clean.
T - Also typical light lager/adjunct taste. Light grain sweetness with minimal hops.
M - Light and crisp, but a bit less carbonation than other beers of the style.
D - Easy to drink, but not a lot of taste. Exactly what most mass produced beers are like.
Notes: Not all that good, even when compared to other mass produced beers this doesn’t stand out. Not really worth going after.
1.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 4/20 JohnRMurdoch (1387) - Glasgow, SCOTLAND - MAY 20, 2011
Bottle in Miami Airport. Almost clear with a yellowish tinge, good head. Mild corn malt aroma. Virtually no flavour, cereal if anything. Watery but sharp. A bit more flavour than Bud Light but still alcoholic water.
