I don’t see much difference between this Anheiser-Busch "premium" brew and any other AB product. It light, watery, mild and lacks anything to really set it apart from anything else.

I do not wax on poetically about beer but I do know the quality of a beer once tasted. This review is not about my tastes but reinforces the numbers, which are arbitrary.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
UPDATED: MAR 20, 2016 This was always my favorite American style lager. Enough body to keep it from being watery but also goes down super smooth like this style is trying for. For the style about as good as it gets. Don’t know why anyone would drink Coors or Budweiser over this.

Michelob is basically Budweiser without the rice and perhaps most of the beechwood aging.. It might not be an all malt, but it appears rather close, but it is balanced unoffending brew that has some hops but.., albeit boring brew. The thing about Michelob (and it’s light version) is that it is strangely hard to find now. It’s like Anheuser Busch doesn’t want it to "compete" with Budweiser, Bud Light of Michelob Ultra sales(?). Why is this?

Bottle poured to pint glass very cold beer
Appearance: Light yellow head, a lot of lacing
Aroma: scent smell of malt, nothing else
Taste: not really great
Mouth feel: very carbonated
Overall: good beer for the hot weather, specially camping outdoors, nothing special
One of the cheapest beers in the grocery aisle

Golden with a dense white head. Aromas of bready cereals, malts and some corn develops. Rather fizzy with a watery texture and a light body. rather malty sweet with then nothing else developing really, just a malty finish.

Just as watery as you could expect from an American mass produced lager. The bottle is more exciting than the contents.

Twelve ounce bottle from The Party Source, tasted on November 26, 2015. Gold hue, cheap adjunct aroma, taste is a bitter trip to Adjunct City with a hint of cardboard. I remember the pre-craft days when this was considered a really premium beer and an expensive one at $2.00 a six pack. Either my palate has improved, this stuff has declined in quality, or, most likely, both. It’s still better than its AB InBev cousin Budweiser, but so what?

Aus der Flasche. Hellgelbes Bier mit weissem festem Schaum. Etwas Malz in der Nase. Wenig Geschmack. Etwas suerlich und metallisch.

Bud with a tinge more malt. Clear yellow real clear but weird light yellow. Why it gets decent appearance rating. Very carbonated like some water. No aroma no flavor.

It is what it is. Really nothing special, but actually one of the better american pilsner lagers. Only good after working your butt off in the blazing summer heat.
