Commercial Description:
Celis White has been revived by Michigan Brewing Company with the blessing of its founder and his daughter, Christine Celis. The original Celis White, brewed in Austin, TX by Pierre Celis during the early and mid 1990's, ceased production when Mr. Celis closed his Austin microbrewery and moved to Belgium.

Bottle from Cracked Kettle. Orange hazy. Nose of grapefruit, citrus. Tart taste. Fruits and lemon taste. Some grapefruit and citrus as well. Too sour for my taste. But appreciate a good beer.

Pours light golden and slightly hazy with a fully receding white head. Aroma of citrus, banana, and light spice. Taste is lightly sweet, spicy with a creamy yeasty quality. Mouthfeel is light to medium bodied with light creaminess and lively carbonation. Enjoyable, but probably wouldn’t buy again.

This is a verey good wit. Had the appearance been up to par it could have been higher. Pour was a murky light gold but no head even after a vigorous pouring. Aroma of lemon and a tad of wheat. Taste was nicely carbonated and picked up hints of wheat, yeast and lemon in the aftertaste. Full flavor for this style. Nicely done.

Aroma of coriander with a bit of citrus and clove. Hazy gold color with a white head that flattened rapidly. Medium in body, brisk in carbonation. The flavor is light stone fruit, coriander, citrus, maybe finishing lightly sweet with citrus peel to balance. Banana seems to be present. Really pleasant to drink.

12oz bottle. Aroma has some complexity to it. Coriander, soapy, yeasty, grainy and some lemon notes. Somewhat hazy gold body with white head. Body texure is thin with sweet grain flavor mixed in with a zesty lemon additive. Smooth and easy on the palate decent beer.

Light hazy yellow. Smell of yeast, wheat, lemon ginger, clove and orange peal. Taste of yeast, clove, ginger, lemon zest, pine tar, peper, banana peal and minor salty after taste. Thanks Brewblackhole!

Pour clear pale yellow with some fizzy white ehad. Aroma and flavor both bananay, yeast, doughy and slightly citric. Overall, decent.
