sfontain (506), Columbus, Ohio, USA Jan 28, 2007 Pale, barely hazy golden; small, white, fizzy head becomes a tiny ring. Aroma of wheat, citrus, yeast, and cloves. Flavor similar. Thin; medium carbonation; somewhat frothy and somewhat fizzy. Good for the style, but I’m not a fan of the style. Kingtubby (18), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA Jan 25, 2007 I bought this beer just looking for a good wheat beer. I’m very content with it. It had the color I expected, and a nice citrus flavor. kimcgolf (824), Dacula, Georgia, USA Jan 16, 2007 As expected, this poured to a hazy cloudy golden color with thin white head, that dissipated quickly and left little or no lacing. Aroma was a veryu pleasant mix of oranges, cookie dough and and a hint of clove spice. Flavor followed true to form with more of the clove-orange mix. At 4.25%, the alcohol never made itself known. To me, the mouthfeel was somewhat chewy, due to the dough taste, and the finish was somewhat stale.
This beer, while pleasant, did not finish nearly as well as it started. jefcon (997), Arlington, Virginia, USA Jan 15, 2007 Draft. Aromas of orange and lemon citrus, clove, coriander. Hazy lemony yellow with a thin white head. Lots of crisp citrus flavors. Palate thins toward the finish. Yeast throughout. swoopjones (1862), Buffalo, New York, USA Jan 10, 2007 On tap @ coles. Buffalo NY. Pours a cloudy yellow color. Very similar to hoegaarden. Citrus, corinader presence. good wit beer. GeneralGao (3051), Iowa City, Iowa, USA Jan 2, 2007 12 oz bottle. Poured a slightly hazy yellow gold color. Head was thin and white. Aroma was as expected...some coriander, yeasty bread dough, and a whiff of citrus. Flavor was similar and better than I had expected. I liked it better than the Bell’s Winter White Ale when I tried them head to head. Dorwart (1807), Robbinsville, New Jersey, USA Dec 27, 2006 Thin white head of medium sized bubbles. Light carbonation. Wheat and rotting dried grass aroma with a little lemon. Some spices and a little dill pickle brine. Color is a hazy medium gold. Fizzy in the mouth. Spicy palate with some more lemon and light malts. Slight tartness late swallow makes the mouth salivate. Little sickly sweet at the finish. Ok, but would not recommend or try again. ogglethorp (882), Ohio, USA Dec 14, 2006 Tap. Pours a hazy, pale golden color, with almost no head. Aroma is lemon, malt, caramel. Flavor is malt, grains, some lemon, sweet. Palate is light bodied, almost no carbonation, lingering crappy finish. Bad.
