mjg74 (1995), La Mesa, California, USA Aug 10, 2005 Bottled. Pours a hazy yellow color. Aroma is slightly sweet and yeasty with hint of lemon peel. Nice yeasty flavor with a little bit of graininess. Some spice in there as well. Finish is slightly bitter. Good and refreshing. goldtwins (4078), Nesconset, New York, USA Aug 2, 2005 Poured a hazy pale straw with a white hue. Spicy and sweet aroma with orange notes. Flavor was tart, sweet, and acidic. Tasty and a nice change up from the many german wheats that preceded this one. stegosaurus (1882), Levittown, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 21, 2005 this beer poured a hazy golden with a very thin white head, smell of sweet malts, and typical belgian spices, the taste was also sweet, and this beer was very smooth, it was a tad weak but great for this time of year, i liked this beer, very drinkable. Crosling (1854), Loveland, Colorado, USA Jul 14, 2005 This is a beer that I have heard about since I began studying beer. Cloudy pale with absolutely no head and nearly no carbonation. Pleasant aroma, though light, of curacao and orange peel, along with a light hint of butter toffee. Well intricated spice, malt and light hop flavors. Butter toffee flavors, light caramel and pit fruit, with "orangey" spice flavors and hints of tropical fruit snacks. beeryum (652), Norcross, Georgia, USA Jul 11, 2005 Bottle, hazy straw pale yellow pour. Citrusy and orange aroma and flavors, with a proportionate amount of spices. Also picked up hints of lemon. aracauna (2357), Georgia, USA Jul 9, 2005 Cloudy pale yellow. Good head. Very pale. Good spicing, balanced and not over the top. Really light and well-spiced. Not life-changing, but a good summer sipper. jde123 (715), Washington, Washington DC, USA Jul 2, 2005 This beer is a great example of an ideal witbier, however the flavor is a little too sweet and syrupy for me, almost candylike and floral. I feel that a lot of the enjoyment is lost on getting used to the sweetness. Cornfield (4892), Oak Forest, Illinois, USA Jun 20, 2005 Very nice - an extremely pale, hazy yellow body with a lofty white head. The aroma is flowery and yeasty and liberally spiced with coriander and orange rind. Mildly acidic with a lemony twist, the spicing continues, nearly covering the grassy & grainy backbone. It finishes on a very floral note, leaving me feel as though I just ate a begonia.
