May 9, 2005 Nice moderately cloudy pale yellow with a good pure white frothy head. Aroma is moderately spicy phenolics with a good amount of clove. Wheat is noticed in the flavor and is balanced nicely with the spices and yeasty notes. Nice slightly acidic finish.

Body is hazy light yellow.
Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain), with a note of coriander.
Flavor is lightly sweet, moderately acidic.
Finish is moderately acidic, lightly bitter.
Light to medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation.
This Michigan-brewed version leaves much to be desired. Ahem.

Apr 30, 2005 Very good - I’m hocked that this isn’t actuallly from Belgium. Nice fruity aroma and flavor. I made my wife try it (she’s not a big beer fan) and she even liked it. Not as high in alcohol content as most Belgians, but overall, very good - bordering on excellent.

Mar 5, 2005 Bottle... Very lightly hazy, deep yellow ale with a small, fizzy, white head. Yeasty, citrusy aroma with notes of bread dough, underripe banana and all the other usual suspects of a witbier (coriander, bubblegum, orange peel). Well-balanced with tart & tangy flavors of lemon, underripe banana and a hint of apricot. Light-bodied with fizzy carbonation. Short, crisp, tangy finish.

Mar 4, 2005 At first this beer maintains a thick whitehead, but after about two minutes it dissipates. The nose and the palate are both on the light side. The palate is straight forward, but a bit too restrained for my liking. I like more spice and orange in my wits. At any rate I am glad to see that this label is being made again.
