Commercial Description:
Celis White has been revived by Michigan Brewing Company with the blessing of its founder and his daughter, Christine Celis. The original Celis White, brewed in Austin, TX by Pierre Celis during the early and mid 1990's, ceased production when Mr. Celis closed his Austin microbrewery and moved to Belgium.

Did not know this was retired. Seems to be a sweet find! Pleasant malty, spicy, peppery, banana aroma with hints of orange and lemon in there. Moderately hazy pale gold color with a nice fizzy white head. Start is citrs--lemons, astringent and tart. Wooo, spicy pepper kick to finish. Pretty good stuff.

On draft at MBC and at home in the bottle. As delicious as I remember the original Texas Celis white. Refreshing and full bodied, great spice, and a slightly sweet.

Great belgian spice aroma, lots of spice, floral hops, and citrus fruit. Pours a faintly hazy yellow with a nice white head. Some great dry spiciness to the taste with hints of coriander, light wheaty taste, and a light hop finish. Nice crisp and dry brew.

GABF2004... Sampled while speaking with Pierre. Cloudy pale gold color with a small white head. Wheaty and citrusy, tart aroma. Lightly tart citrus taste, sweet bubblegum, oranges. A great refresher between the beers I was drinking today.

On Draught and Bottle -Praise be to the Celis family. I was CRUSHED when they left Austin. But thank the beer gods, that they are back in production again ( even if it is in Michigan)- it’s a great state to me. It still has the most refreshing taste of any beer on a hot summer day. Some purist would disagree, but it’s the best beer to drink with just a squeeze of lemon. The bottle version of the new version has a little less flavor then the keg stock. The thrill is back! Now all we need is the Celis Raspberry to make a Berry White mix

Draught at Microbar, Battersea. Straw yellow colour. Citrus aroma, perhaps something sweet like honey or caramel also smelt. Tasted lemony, orangey with a hint of something like coriander. Nice refreshing beer.
