darkerdabetter (255), Michigan, USA May 10, 2004 Smells and looks good, but rather forgettable. Does have some decent spiciness, but there’s something there that just didn’t appeal. EKGoldings (447), Radford, Virginia, USA May 7, 2004 Updated: Sep 17, 2007I had this when it first came out, when Miller took complete control, and MBC’s version. MBC: Poured amber with decent head. Smells of yeast, citrus and fruit. Tastes light and refreshing with citrus and slight hop. A great lawnmower beer with enough citrus to be interesting and different, although I admit I’ve never had more than 2 at any one sitting. I had this again recently and was underwhelmed .. tasted more like a hefe than a wit. Disappointing. I hope this was a bad batch. AndersR (194), Århus, Denmark Mar 23, 2004 Pale cloudy orange with a huge lasting white head. Lots of interesting aromas in this beer! Most dominant is a combination of yeast and citrus but underneath is alot of undertones especially wheat and spices. Flavour is interesting too. Citrus is a bit too dominant for me, but also tons of wheat, with a honey sweat finish. A bit watery at the end, but i guess thats ok for a belgian white ;-)
A good witbier, but not as good as some of the "real" belgians ;-) Terminus (1955), Las Cruces, New Mexico, USA Mar 17, 2004 bottle-Well this beer does exit and it is noew brewed by Michigan Brewing. Cloudy off white appearance. Smell of clove, somce spices and belgian yeast. nice body for the style. Sweet and sour flavors of both banana's counteracting the hops that do exist in this beer. I wish i had the old version. npdempse (931), St. Petersburg, Florida, USA Mar 17, 2004 Cloudy lemmon yellow with a rocky white head. Tangy nose with bananas and orange peel, some nutmeg or coriander. Big whallop of flavor--fairly sweet with orange, banana, some anise. Finishes kind of strange, with lots of grassy hops. Imbockinsxtx (75), Big Bend, Texas, USA Mar 11, 2004 Updated: Mar 12, 2004It pours a nice and even white head into a tumbler contrasted against a pale yellow colour. The aroma is pleasing with spicy clovy scents. The palate is interesting with loud flavors of more spice and scents. A smooth flavour with no harsh or distracting adjuncts. I had my first swallow with a tex mex hot dog: Corn Tortilla/Weiner/Onion/Jalapeno/ and it provided for an excellent wash down. Try the Belgian Wheat. Its worth the 6 bucks. UNCCTF (464), Kannapolis, North Carolina, USA Mar 7, 2004 Beer? It looks AND smells like some kind of fruit juice. It has a great orange-lemon flavor with a little bit of zesty spice to finish it off. Other than the spice, this was totally forgettable. RaginCajun (284), Dallas, Texas, USA Feb 22, 2004 Weird taste...tastes like a cross between miller lite and lemon jolly ranchers. I'm not the biggest fan of Belgain whites, but I think this is the best I've had to date.
