Commercial Description:
Celis White has been revived by Michigan Brewing Company with the blessing of its founder and his daughter, Christine Celis. The original Celis White, brewed in Austin, TX by Pierre Celis during the early and mid 1990's, ceased production when Mr. Celis closed his Austin microbrewery and moved to Belgium.

GABf 2002: Gingerale like colour, with a fizzy white head. Thin bodied, spritzy mouthfeel. Not a very citrusy wit, mostly wheaty flavour with some hops at the end.

Very lightly clouded golden with a small fizzy white head and soft spicy aroma. Body is semi-sweet and well balanced with coriander, orange zest, and a moderate acidity. Yet, still something is missing.

Weird taste...tastes like a cross between miller lite and lemon jolly ranchers. I'm not the biggest fan of Belgain whites, but I think this is the best I've had to date.

A good wheat with the esters and background one expects, with a lighter flavor than one would normally find in a wheat. Good appearance with some head and light lacing. I’d buy this one!

Cloudy yellow out of the bottle with a sharp spice nose with odd hints of urine. Nice pepper and corriander, almost cinnamon spiciness. Sweet lemonade/orange juice backbone. Better than I remember it, but I did not like it a decade ago.

Nice moderately cloudy pale yellow with a good pure white frothy head. Aroma is moderately spicy phenolics with a good amount of clove. Wheat is noticed in the flavor and is balanced nicely with the spices and yeasty notes. Nice slightly acidic finish.
