(12oz bottle, thanks ryan) Small beige head atop hazy amber body. Aroma is moderately sweet, orange, some pineapple, light perfume. Taste is moderately sweet, grapefruit, some spice, alcohol. Medium-full body, some stickiness.

12oz bottle, courtesy of ryan. Thanks! Pours a hazy, orange color; off-white head with patchy fine-bubbled lacing. Lots of earthy, biscuity bitterness in the aroma; lightly astringent. Medium-to-full mouthfeel: lively carbonation; lots of earthy, mineral bitterness upfront; candy sugar, sweet maltiness, and a good malty balance overall; solid, lightly rough-edged IIPA. Lengthy finish: earthy bitterness, candy sugar, and lasting hoppiness.

Clear amber body with a medium beige head. The nose is citrus hops, light caramel and sugars. The flavor is lightly sweet with just a bit of caramel and cotton candy, lots of citrus hops and some flowers. Medium/full body is soft with moderate carbonation.

12oz Handbottle dated 6/08. Nice soft, subtle hop glow, a touch spicy and full of burning resins. Ooh. Some very palpable warm Christmas Tree oil. Delicate and glowing. Pours a beautiful clear amber-orange, with a soft froth in manila. Lacy. Flavor is rich and juicy. A decent malt kick joins some really unique fruity flavors for a good flavor profile that holds long. Juicyfruit, candied orange slice, a bit of lavender soap, and some sweetgrass. Flavor is really fruity and juicy. Pale and tropical, followed by a long, long splash of maybe-just-a-bit-too-soapy passionfruit and chamomile. Nice. Alcohols are soft. Malt is there, but not too chewy. There’s a lot of interesting fruit complexity that is surprisingly strong. I’m loving this. Great Double IPA! Thanks Sean!

On tap at the brewery. Hazy medium orange body, medium buff head. Sharp citrusy, piney aroma with potent boozy alcohol. Over-the-top, sharp, syrupy-sweet body with slick, resiny grapefruity and piney hops backed by thick, caramely, sugary malt. Prominent alcohol. Long bitter finish with lingering residual sugars. I found this hard to drink. Definitely one of the most potent, brash Double IPAs.
