Pours gold orange, with 2 cm cream-coloured head.
Smells of celery, red licorice, and lots of husky grains.
Mouthfeel is slick with medium carbonation.
Taste is nice and hoppy, with grapefruit notes and a bitter finish.
Nice and plain ale for quaffing. biznizness (670), Mooresville, North Carolina, USA Jul 18, 2008 I mean, there are a LOT of beers out there, and if you are a middle-of-the-road standard pale ale, what really needs to be said? This would be the beer of choice if you were at the Michigan Brewing Co and in the mood for a pale ale. Kalli (375), Falun, Sweden Jul 14, 2008 Nice amber gold but head thins out leaving a bit of lacing. Almost floral hops and caramel on the aroma. Something in the background feels off to me but I can’t pinpoint it and mostly it’s quite okay, anyway.
Feels pleasant in the mouth but almost bland. Where’s that spicy, citrusy finish? Well, okay, the lemon is a bit watery and there might be pepper overtones in the finish.
It’s pleasant, if unexciting, but nothing to go out of your way for. anders37 (2505), Malmö, Sweden Jul 13, 2008 Pours a clear pale amber color with a longlasting white head. Fruity malty hoppy aroma with some hints of caramel. Sweet malty hoppy flavor with some hints of caramel. Has a sweetish fruity malty hoppy finish.
