A typical over hopped pale ale. Tastes more like an IPA. Mouthfeel is smooth, some presence of malts, but finish is too dry-bitter. Little tastes of citrus-floral, mostly spicy hops. Didn’t like that much.

Oct 4, 2008 Pours deep amber with aroma of slight citris, caramel. taste is thin with the caramel, citris and grass in there. Not bad, but very average.

Sep 27, 2008 355 ml bottle. Labelled Mackinac Summer Ale. Copper colour. Crystal clear. Medium-sized white fine-laced head. Nutty caramel aroma with a Belgian dusty zing (likely because it is a little old. BBF 2008-09-24). Medium-bodied. Caramel flavours and crisp hop flavours. The caramel is slightly burnt. High carbonation level. Finishes with a metallic hop bitterness. Nice pale ale, but possibly even better when fresh.

Sep 24, 2008 (Bottle 35,5 cl) Courtesy of joergen. Comes as "Michigan Mackinac Summer Ale". Clear warm dark amber golden with a creamy off-white head. Aroma of caramel and overripe fruit. Medium body with caramel and fruits and a fairly hoppy finish. 180808
