A good brown ale. Kind of a nutty taste and aftertaste (as the name indicates) and not too bitter. Good body and carbonation. An easy to drink brown ale. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Beer of the month club. Clear dark brown color with a big beige head, pretty nice lacing. Nice aroma of chocolate, nuts, light roastiness and hints of coffee. Sweetish flavor, a bit roasty, with caramel, nuts, some coffee (slightly green-ish) and notes of toasted bread and chocolate. Medium-bodied. Not bad.

nice dark amber/copper color with just off-white head and a sweet malty nose. Nutty malt flavor. not quite as smooth as Sammy Smiths as hops kick in and push the malt flavor aside and take hold through the finish with a slight astringent aftertaste. There is a hint of chocolate here too. I find the start more pleasant than the finish but not too bad.

Dark wood stain brown with a frothy off white head. Slight toasted cracker malt character. A touch of mild nut and some coffee beans. Crisp grass note. Finishes a tad watery.

Pour from a 12 oz bottle. Deep reddish amber brew with thin offwhite head. Aroma of caramel malts, a hint of toasted grain. Very mild aroma. Taste is sweet caramel, maybe a little nuttiness, a bit of toasted grain. A little sweet, and a little sweet on the finish. Nice brew.
